Twenty Multisensory Writing Prompts for Loss
()
About this ebook
This is a workbook / guide / course / journal of twenty multisensory writing prompts based on the experience of loss; loss of a loved one, pet, place, way of life, or other loss. The twenty writing prompts are divided into five, four-part sessions. For each prompt, there are a minimum of two suggested accompanying models: at least one poem title (visual reading or auditory text to speech) and at least one song title (auditory listening to or visual reading of lyrics). This is the first known published collection exclusively combining writing prompts with allusions to both poetry and music. Many of the prompts suggest poetic forms (haiku, acrostic, found poetry) and devices within the exercises. The referenced poetic forms, poems and songs are available online, in databases, literary journals, and other forums accessible to the public. Due to copyright laws, only titles and artists are listed; any title or artist mentioned in this collection is done so for nominative, commentary purposes, and there is no endorsement, affiliation, authorization or connection between copyright owner or artist with the author in any matter.
Any title or artist may be withdrawn or replaced from this work at any time.
This 30-page workbook is a supplement to the processing of loss, and is not a substitute for grief or bereavement therapy.
