About this ebook

A teenager, a doctor, and an imposter sat in my café. The three of them have no idea what I had planned for them. But waiting was boring.
So. I let each of them tell me a story.
I already knew bits and pieces of each one of their stories, from when I scouted them. But as they began, I started to wonder who these three people truly were. And why were they so willing to meet with me.
The teenager, who was known around our crime riddled city for slicing and dicing up complainers, was such a nice girl at heart. Then there was the doctor, who stitched his beloved daughter back together. And my personal favourite, the imposter who needed to take someone else's face to stay alive.
Well. I should confess to them about my intentions. But I'm not bringing them together to hear about the heroes they've killed, or what made them into such monsters. Or how they got away with doing such beautiful work, for such a long time. But I have a job for them.
I wonder if they'll take it?

    Summary

But I’m not bringing them together to hear about the heroes they’ve killed, or what made them into such monsters. Or how they got away with doing such beautiful work, for such a long time. But I have a job for them.

I wonder if they’ll take it?

    Chapter Two

    Stitches

Looking through the glass to the café, I saw them. They almost looked like a mother and a daughter, sitting down for a cup of coffee together. But I knew that wasn't the case.

The businesswoman looked nothing like the high schooler who was sitting across from her. It was possible that she was her relative. But with their bone structures, nothing about them looked similar in any way.

And besides, the businesswoman doesn't look like the type of woman, who would have a kid, anyways. She looked to pose, too elegant.

Nothing like a mother would act. Nothing like how my wife would have acted.

Heading towards the door of the café, I thought about it. The businesswoman told me we should meet here. She said to look for her and a younger girl. But the girl sitting across from the businesswoman looked familiar to me. I wondered if she was someone who I crossed paths with before.

Maybe she was the missing piece I was looking for. But I doubt that.

The smile across her face was nothing like my daughters smile. Her smile was screaming with evil intent. Like she had done something that she should be insanely proud of.

Reaching my hand for the door handle, I prepared myself. I kept my face relaxed as I opened the door. The café was filled with dirt. Each surface of the chairs and tables were layered with it. Just the sight of it, made my skin want to crawl. But the businesswoman warned me about the filthy state of the café, before I arrived. I felt like a bath and a good wash with some bleach might be required once I got back home.

I kept moving my feet. Trying to not look at the filth covering over every surface of the café. But my mind couldn't take it. I felt like I was going to snap.

With my gloved hand, I reached for the back of the chair. I was careful enough to not draw too much attention to myself.

Pulling my chair a cross the tiled
