About this ebook
Toxic creatures can be found almost anywhere—in the woods, in the desert, in your own backyard . . . even in your room!
Some, such as poison dart frogs and puffer fish, have poisonous skin or other organs. Others are venomous—they have stingers, spines, or fangs to injects their toxins.
You know some of them already: black widow spiders, killer bees, rattlesnakes, stingrays, and scorpions. There are lots of other toxic species, too.
Just take a look inside . . . if you dare!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Don’t be fooled by the cover, this is not your ordinary book about snakes. When you open the book Venom, you will find captivating pictures, interesting text features, and most importantly, factual information about a wide range of venomous animals. Bees, ants, shrews, mosquitoes, jellyfish, caterpillars, stingrays, and of course snakes are just some of the creatures that are discussed in this book and believe it or not, several of these are found in our homes. This book is written in a format that allows for reading to start at any point due to the fact the animal descriptions are usually two pages in length. This is a great choice for children who are easily overwhelmed by lengthy books. Teachers and parents will like the bibliography and webliography that are located at the back of the book which list wonderful resources for related information.
