Champions are not those who sit on the grand stand watching, but it's them who get into the field to swear and battle against their opponents. People cheer and salute those who gained victory and pay no attention to the losers and do not consider the pain involved. 

Jesus said those who gain victory will be given the right to eat from the tree of life. Will not be hurt by the second death. Will be given a hidden manner and a white stone with a new name and authority over nations.will be dressed in white and his name will not be removed from the book of life. Will be a pillar and on him the name of God and the City will be written. Given the right to sit with Jesus on his throne.

Heaven is a place for people who have gained crowns of victories. It is not a place for coward people. If you can't resist the devil now know that Satan comes from heaven and not in peace, but defeated during war and thrown out.

I don't know what you are battling against right now? You may be battling against a chronic disease, or a bad habit, addiction and it can be something else. However you need victory to get out of that situation. Sometimes the battle is too much for you and therefore you need a man of God who can join hands and fight with you until victory is achieved.

Chapter 1  : Re-establishment

1)  New beginning

A new beginning comes after the previous one has ended either badly or not. In order to understand clearly this subject let`s go to the boxing ring. You will see two boxers exchanging blows. When a boxer is caught off guard and falls down. The referee rushes there and not to say sorry, but he begins to count. His supporters are shocked, disappointed, shattered and silenced and fear for the worse. While the boxer on the floor is trying his best to regain strength and confidence.

The one who has knocked him raises his hands up and moves around the ring gearing the crowds to show them that he is the best. The crowds also rally behind him and in certain instances they will sing songs of victory. Shouts of encouragements will be heard from one corner to the other.

Then if the boxer on the flow rises up and shows that he is still in a good condition fit for a fight the referee will give them a go ahead. If he fights like he was never knocked down. It shows that he is a tough boxer because he can absorb pressure very well. That is a new beginning and he gains respect from his opponent and supporters too.

All his supporters who were shattered become excited and clap hands and cheers for him. All that comes after he had proved his capability to thwart all the painful blows he received from his opponent. When you look at these teams which are winning the soccer league. They don`t win by playing one match or losing one. They play a lot of matches accumulating points throughout the whole season. At the end of the season by having more points they win the league.

Therefore victory does not come like a fast mail parcel from a post office. You may not anticipate it like a meal from a fast food outlet. Rather it is a battle against the strong holds of the devil. There are different kinds of battles in life. Someone`s battle can be a chronic disease and to another one it`s unemployment. You may be battling against a bad habit or addiction. What about a criminal record? Victory is about going beyond the limit, doing the unthinkable. Samson was considered the strongest man because he fought a lion with his bare hands and gained victory.

Then let`s look at the tug of war between Moses and the Israelites. God came down on the mountain of Sinai. The people that went close to the mountain were the seventy two leaders of Israel including Aaron, Nadab and Abihu. They offered sacrifice and worshiped God. Only Moses proceeded to the top of the mountain with his assistant Joshua while the rest were left behind. Among the things that God introduced to Moses was the Ten Commandments. After forty days he came back from the

mountain and found the people dancing and singing with a golden bull calf as their God.  Griped with anger as he saw the idol he was unable to control himself and he threw down the tablets containing the Ten Commandments and broke them (Exodus 24-32).

Let`s summarize it as follows. The whole thing started well when God descended on the mountain. Everybody saw what was happening and worshiped God with fear. Afterwards when they saw that Moses was taking too long they made a golden bull as their God. Moses broke the Ten Commandments because of what they did.

Now between Moses and the congregation who was wrong? All of them were wrong firstly the congregation stopped worshiping God and worshiped an idol. Moses also broke the Ten Commandments. Therefore there was nothing left for both parties. In order for them to proceed they needed the message which was written on the tables. The situation became bad with some of the people left dead. Therefore a new beginning was required as the mission became dangerous.

It was a battle against ancestral worship. God was introducing the gospel to them, but because they were used to worship calf idols in Egypt it became very difficult for them. Many people are stuck between ancestral worship and the gospel. Some say Jesus is for Israelites only. When you are battling against ancestral worship you need a backup from a man of God who understands the scripture very well. Can you stand and proclaim that you have victory against ancestral worship.

In the book of Matthew chapter 10 verse 32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. Can you proclaim that you worship God and refuse to bow down to idols? Look at Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego they gained victory by refusing to worship idols.

God spoke to Moses again telling him to make two stone tables to replace the ones he broke so that he can rewrite the same message that was on the previous ones. What a relieving moment for Moses to receive what he has lost. When you are succeeding even when you are able to talk to God through the Holy Spirit or face to face like Moses things can still get out of control breaking the tables of God. It is true that you won`t find the same tables again, but prepare other ones and bring them to God to start afresh.

Failer comes almost to all people, but differ according to circumstances for example someone fails at school, another lose the job, the car, the business, the partner, bursary, house, a friend and even an interview. When people look at you they don`t see the rubbles and dust in your heart due to the impact of what happened to you. So no one sympathizes with you. The responsibility of cleaning the rubbles remain yours and it is also your duty to stand up and pull yourself together and begin rebuilding again. There is a time when everything you have worked for just collapse either by your fault or not.

Remember Job who was a successful business man, but suffered so much. You may be busy with a project or program that has been doing well for years and all of a sudden everything goes down. After applying all methods to revive it, but still find no progress. let it go, it`s going down has nothing to do with your ability and skill so free yourself from worrying. 

Let`s look at sickness and diseases. There was a woman who lost everything while battling against a bleeding disease. She continued battling until she touched Jesus and got healed. A disease can attack a person until the body is unable to copy. It can destroy your body leaving you on a wheel chair or crutches and even unto death. However the main purpose of the gospel is not to perform miracles and get rich, but to overcome sickness and death. Jesus overcame it on the cross to prove that we can do it also. Jesus said the believers will lay hands on sick people who will get well. That is to give them a new beginning (Matthew 9 v 20-22).

Sometimes you find that you’re in an unfortunate position whereby you are unable to drive out the merchants like Jesus did and like King Josiah who was able to abolish all idol worship and you are left with no choice, but to close down and begin again whether it is a church there is no excuse. It is advisable to put on an ignominy face in order to win the victory. When companies don`t make profit they close down for really and face the sharp teeth of labour unions.

David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword (2 Samuel 15:14).

David was a feared and respected warrior who fought many battles and worn until he became the king of Israel. King David who defeated Goliath was not encouraging them to fight, but telling his people that it was better to run away than to be overtaken and be defeated and get killed also by Absalom his son. He had to humble himself and run away from his own son and later he came back to proceed afresh as a king just like before.

God wanted Moses to have a fresh start when he told him to prepare new tables. It is possible that you are unable to fix the damage. Remember God is still waiting for you to bring the tables so that he can rewrite what you have broken at no cost. That explains the fact that if you are anointed by God and along the way you mess up. It might have been your faulty or not, but as long as you can be able to repent he is faithful enough to forgive your sins and re-anoint you just like or more than before.

While someone might say that it is not possible to have a new beginning because of criminal record. In the book of Genesis God said to Cain be careful because Satan is coming for you so that he can rule over you and you should gain victory over him. For Satan to use you he must first defeat you. Satan was looking for a body until he found it and unfortunately that body is you. He used you to do crime and you don`t like it and it is true, but you are in for it. According to the book of Acts chapter 7 verses 60 it shows that it was not your idea to cause harm. It was the devil doing his job through your body. Therefore you can restart again and reclaim your victory.

Maybe you are believer and you are worried that you don`t have victory all the time. You participate in prayers and even go for counseling, but to no avail. Remember when Joshua went to fight the Amalekites and was losing. He requested for back up from Moses. When Moses lifted up his hands Joshua gained victory over the Amalekites. Joshua had to depend on Moses who was old and unable to go to war. The power to win the battle was on Moses who was armed with a stick and not Joshua who had weapons at his disposal.

However when Moses got tired Hura and Aaron lifted his hands until the battle was over. After the battle the army came back singing victory songs with Joshua leading them as a conqueror. There is a time whereby as a believer the battle is too much for you. Maybe you are not on the level whereby you can fight the strong holds of the forest, the sea, and the cemetery, the world of the dead and on the space. Therefore you need a man of God who can face the challenge and pray on your behalf
