About this ebook

I was convinced that I was cursed. Maybe I was wrong. I was probably wrong. That was ridiculous. There was no way in all of creation that curses actually existed. The whole world had taught me that. I knew better. I should have known better.

But when my house burnt down, that had to be the curse happening, right? The two handsome firefighters that saved me had to be just the hands of fate toying with me.

But maybe there was more to this fate thing than I had originally thought. Maybe I had passed the curse and would have a chance to live the life that I wanted to live. And maybe, just maybe, Justin and Trevor were the keys to that new life. I shuddered at the thought of settling down, but the curse was something that I could never tell anyone about, and these guys were something special. Maybe I should give it a shot. The worst that would happen would be that I died before

    Chapter 1:

    Give A Little

I’ve had better days, and time wasn’t kind about reminding me of that fact. I glanced down at the book in my hands. A history, fictionalized of course, but that’s what it was. It’s not like anyone would believe it. It was all just a series of bad luck that had been painted and toyed with until an entire generation of a family was worried about where it would end.

Maybe it was all in my head. Everyone I told about it seemed to think that I was crazy. I had even been referred to a counselor. I was informed that it was a painful coincidence, but it wasn’t fated that I was meant to die so early. That my family wasn’t cursed. That all women born to my bloodline weren’t destined to die before they turned twenty-five. I’ll admit if someone else had said something like that to me, I would have thought that they were crazy too.

That’s why I had written the story down, and why I held that book so damned close. If I did die, I didn’t want to leave nothing for the world.

I knew that no one would ever really read it, after all, what reason would anyone have to read something that came from someone so damned young? I sighed and looked down at the pages in my hand. I had printed out everything to get good editing on it. It had taken quite a bit of ink, but that wasn’t a problem. I had dealt with it, eating a bit cheaper for the week to make it work.

And so, what if I was cursed. I had a bucket list. At the top of it was getting this damn book done.

I only had a couple of months to do it, too,
