About this ebook

A world within our world. A secret tunnel hidden under the Eiffel Tower. A small central sun at the center of our planet warming those lands in the hollow earth. Seas with no horizon because of the concave nature of those lands. Adventures beyond the imagination of the modern man at the dawning of the twentieth century.

In 1889, seasoned explorer Marco Walker descends into the hollow earth on a desperate mission to rescue Jules Verne on the behest of the Hollow Earth Society. He finds himself in an untamed land with dangers at every turn and must use his skill, his wits, and every last bit of his experience to rescue Verne and survive this hostile and spectacular land.

From Robert J. McCarter, author of Woody and June versus the Apocalypse, comes an imaginative story of adventure and companionship unlike anything before it.

All these things would have sounded preposterous when the little man approached. This appeared to be the pinnacle of engineering, a bar which mankind would have to strive mightily to top. Eiffel had a hand in the glorious Statue of Liberty that overlooked my home and now this. I was hoping to find a chance to meet him.

The people swirled about me, glorious smells from the food stalls tantalized me, and there was laughter in the spring air as I stood on the Champ de Mars staring at Eiffel’s tower. Four iron feet set broadly apart forming a sensible square, graceful arches between those mighty legs. The four edges of the tower slowly thinning and sweeping up to a glorious point over a thousand feet above me.

Beautiful, no? he asked, his breath smelling of garlic, his body of sweat. I barely glanced at the short man, noticing that his waistcoat was not buttoned and he had no hat to cover his unruly shock of red hair. He was badly in need of a barber and overdue for a bath.

I grunted and kept staring at Gustave’s mighty achievement.

    You are Marco Walker, no?
