About this ebook

Fleet left Earth and returned sometime later, only to find that their home planet was uninhabitable.

Space was a dangerous place, and the entire fleet could be destroyed by anomalies such as wormholes. What were these wormholes? Were they doorways between time pockets, universes or quadrants, and why did they destroy everything in their path? Humanity finally became stranded and was forced to settle on a previously discovered home-world. Life on this planet was relatively peaceful at first, but peace comes with its own set of problems. The current fleet stronghold perished to make room for the greatest science station known to humanity! This science station held all the answers, and an unwelcome discovery was made! The new world was threatened by the mysterious particle TTTT, morons, demons, and viral infections caused by food sources. The once agile space ship was transformed to support the most sophisticated particle blaster in all the universes. Black holes continued to spring up everywhere in the cosmos, as the multiverse fluctuated, imploding all in their path, including entire worlds.

This story touches on factual science in great detail, and includes some very interesting theories. Particles, space anomalies, genetics, computer science, electro-photonic imaging and many more come together and share common denominators such as photons.

Fleet 1 - Bernard Harold Curgenven

    Chapter 1

Au Pairs was not about to budge. He was born here, and had lived here his entire life, and because of his youth, he only carried a knife. Remembering the day of his very birth, he watched the Hobble cubicle drift off into space, at a snail’s pace, and there was a satisfied grin upon his face. The old men who had been smoking grass, and then touching his ass, were finally leaving his world, and returning to Earth, the land of their birth! He could now run the show in peace, and would delight in a microwave breakfast, before brushing his teeth.

After the miniature replica of the Hobble, had exited the vortex, and disappeared with a wave and a wobble, Au turned to face the bitter complexion of the security chief, Max Grief. Despite his misery, the square shouldered war veteran seemed more cheerful than usual. Behind the man was Jennifer Rain, who had often comforted him in times of pain. On either side of Jennifer, were her little sisters, Acid and Violet, who were hopping up and down with joy and anxiety. They all seemed to be pleased. The perverts have finally been removed from society, as they know it. What possible relationship could the girls have had with the rapists? The old men were only into boys, or were they?

Edward Tommy, also known as Edward the Pommy, was a staunch, yet muscular chap, who seemed married to his florescent jacket and cap. Edward was waiting at the entrance to the observation room, to escort Au back to his chamber. The chamber had a name, which should be revealed at this stage of the game. Much to Au’s distaste, it was named ‘juvenile detention barracks’, and it smelled of toxic waste!

Au owed his life to Edward Tommy, a medic and warden by profession, who had risked his own life during the Moron raid, by extracting the infant from his dead mommy. The man who would never harm a fly, was his biological father, and mentor.  For this reason, he had no objection to following the man’s instructions.

It wasn’t until his tenth birthday that he had discovered the true identity of the ship’s captain. The captain, Admiral Red Tommy, was one of the few survivors from the legendary ‘Holocast War’. Legend has it that the fleet was launched into space, during the final stages of the war. The so called Demons were destroying mankind, and the Earth’s president, Ziggi Zuma was desperate to evacuate as many people as possible. Surprisingly the space program was up and running, as Earth was fully prepared for an invasion by the Morons. Hobble was the fleet’s second in command, second only to the Embassy, whose captain was the fleet commander. The Fleet Commander’s name was Clancy Clinton, and he was feared amongst man and Moron. Au may never have known this, if it wasn’t for the history lessons at school, and needless to say, his memory served him well at the age of sixteen.

Students were well behaved, though not by choice, for all classroom seats had built in tazers. If one misbehaved, spoke in class, or fell asleep, a shocking experience would surface! With this method of discipline, education was a breeze to both the lecturer and student, and what usually took a week, could now be learned in one day. There were two schools on Hobble, namely Juvenile and Non-Juvenile, and the average student was matriculated at the age of thirteen. A full nine years of one’s life revolved around education, after which one was employed on the ship, or as a scientific explorer, or soldier. The scientific explorers and soldiers were the only members of the crew, to ever set foot beyond the borders of the ship, besides the recently exiled prisoners.

Correctional Hall, a chamber for the senior prisoners, was a cordoned off section of Juvenile prison, which was totally isolated from society, enclosed by thick tungsten- fiber walls. Only recently this chamber became overcrowded, and history had thus been made. Word had it that reconstruction of Earth had finally been completed and many members of the fleet would be sent home, to a home they had never known! Many prisoners were amongst these people, and they would be held captive in an underground facility, deep beneath the surface of the planet.

One was only considered a juvenile until the age of sixteen, and thus a juvenile prisoner would be released at this age. Au had mixed feelings of remorse and anxiety. He was being released today, and was even given the option of leaving the ship. He would be given a home in an area known as the ‘Province Of Eden’. This was an enormous choice to make, and Au respectfully declined. He had never known life beyond these fiber walls, and quite frankly he had no intention of embracing the unknown. The mere thought of walking upon decaying rock, drowning in large quantities of liquid, and touching course objects frightened him! His dreams are being plagued by dimensions of height, vast open spaces of nothingness, strange sounds, unexpected temperature changes, and so called natural disasters, caused by an unfamiliar phenomenon known as weather! The Earth was warmed and lit by a flaming rock of lava, known only as the Sun. Geography classes had taught him much, and all would be lost if he decided to ignore geographical warnings. Let it be noted that Earth is magnetized, and is therefore moving toward the Sun.

Au’s thought was interrupted, as he was about to exit the observation room. There was an extremely bright flash of light that had entered through the observational windows, lighting up the entire room, and a portion of the adjoining passage. The girls had already left the room, and therefore missed this spectacular show. There was a second flash of light, brighter than the first. The latter was obviously closer. This was followed by a spectrum of light, as the flash started to fade. No! There were in fact two spectrums of light! One was larger, and therefore seemed closer.

Explosions! came the exclamation from Au’s father, ‘and they came from the direction of Earth.’ It seems he was right. Au guessed the former was from the prisoners’ cubicle pod. The latter explosion came from the direction of Embassy! Edward ran toward the control panel, to the right of the observation window. He pressed the zoon function, and the first flame was brought closer, but the flamed died as it was focused upon, and then there was nothing! Au observed the co-ordinates on screen, noting that they were identical to Embassy’s last known position. Embassy had exploded! All those people ceased to exist! Edward dragged the viewer into position, over the estimated co-ordinates of the pod, and zoomed in to the maximum.  There was no trace of the Hobble’s pod! Edward then focused the viewer on the fixed position of Earth, only to find that the planet was intact.

The side panels, walls, floor and roof lit up throughout the ship. All warning lights were flashing red. This was a sign of danger, and served as an instruction to all. This situation called for everyone to return to their own quarters. Bridge staff would have to man their stations, and prepare the
