About this ebook

I have been asked about rapture. Some people are very strong in their views about rapture. I decided to write this book to discuss questions like: 1. How can rapture occur since the word does not appear in my Bible? 2. Do you have to believe in a particular rapture to be saved? 3. What does the Bible tell me about different types of raptures? 4. Does the Bible support a No Rapture? 5. Do the scriptures support a pre-tribulation rapture? 6. Does the Bible support a mid-tribulation rapture? 7. Does the Bible support a post-tribulation rapture?
My most popular series is "Proof the Bible is True". This is a 7 book series. I originally started to write commentary for the Young Adults Sunday school class I was blessed to teach. After a few weeks, I asked how much of the Bible each student had read. I was shocked at the results being so low. I asked why they did not read more of the Bible and the most common answers were the difficulty in reading and difficulty in understanding. I attempted to solve these issues by writing commentary and sending it prior to the class. The commentary included many images and graphs from Dr. Chuck Missler. The visuals were welcomed by all. The big advantages of sending files or posting on social media is my ability to include hyperlinks in my commentary. For example, if Jerusalem was mentioned or other city or region, I could include a hyperlink to a map showing the place and its relation to our home city/state. If we discussed one of God's miracles, I would include new discoveries like chariot wheels on the floor of the Red Sea. If we were discussing Noah's flood, I could include links to papers showing sea shells on the top of Mt Everest or that the earth contains 3 times the water that is on the surface several hundred or thousands of feet below the surface or a whale graveyard in a large desert. All things a secular education would not reveal to them. The hyperlinks gave all students the opportunity to skip over information that was familiar to them and investigate subjects or modern geography or ancient geography that sparked their interest. I could reveal patterns to them by referencing other verses that discussed the same subject.

    Preface

I begin all my books and speaking engagements with this verse which is attributed to being a Berean defined in Acts 17:11.

Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

My understanding of this verse is that you should read or listen to my speech with an open mind, but you should search the scriptures to discern if I am correct in my words.

All verses quoted are from the King James Version (KJV) from e-Sword. I give you all my sources by the words in blue and underlined. Just click on the underlined and/or blue word(s) to access my source, i.e. e-Sword.

Regardless of your belief about rapture, if you have given your heart to Jesus you will be saved and redeemed by Him. The scriptures that tell us what we need to do to be saved are in John 3, Acts 16, Romans 10 and Revelation 3. Believing in a rapture is not included in being saved. Pastor JD Farag of Calvary Chapel in Hawaii has a beautiful explanation of salvation titled the ABCs of salvation. JD Farag closes out each week’s Prophesy Update on YouTube with the ABCs of Salvation.

Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?³¹ And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.²¹ To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Many things written in the Bible were unimaginable to people when the Bible was written because the technology was not advanced to what we have today, yet people had faith in God. Some miracles or events are still not in our comprehension while some we can imagine or realize how God might accomplish the prophesy like the world watching God’s 2 messengers lying dead in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 ½ days, Revelation 11, by satellite or fiber optic cable TV broadcasting.

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.⁴ These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.⁵ And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.⁶ These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.⁷ And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.⁸ And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.⁹ And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.¹⁰ And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.¹¹ And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.¹² And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Verse 11 states the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; which reminds me of Lazarus being raised from the dead or awoken from his sleep or resurrected.

In our education we were taught to believe presented facts were true. Theories presented were scientifically proven. Today we know their facts were not truth and their theories were false, like the "geological column". In the last 100 years, many things have been discovered that prove past secular theories and facts are false. The Bible is truth and facts in the Bible are true. The more I study the Word and search for proof, the more convinced I am that the Word is very literal. We must believe the word of God and remember what was written by Matthew in chapter 19.

Mat 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

There are many things in the Bible that I do not understand or conceive the possibilities of how those things could occur. My intellectual curiosity is stimulated by many verses. When I am unable to understand a passage, I take solice in thinking about someone reading the Bible 100 years ago or 2,000 years ago or 4,000 years ago and believing that God's Word was true. Just think since Adam and Eve till the 1900's, about 6,000 years, traveling from one place to another was done the same way; walking, riding an animal, or a boat. Since 1900 AD, the technologies have changed very rapidly and continue to change even more rapidly. The first reading of a verse gives me one or maybe two thoughts of what God is saying. Sometimes, after world events, I think God may mean something different. I have always read beast to mean some animal, not bacteria or a virus even though they have killed humans for a long time. When God tells us billions of people will be killed in a very short time frame, I have always thought of a nuclear event. People living prior to 1945 AD must have really had a problem conceptualizing this event. Today I have moved past the nuclear event to a microbe, bacteria or virus, causing those 2 billion deaths in Revelation 6:8.

Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

By changing my thinking from nuclear event to a biological event, Ezekiel 38 and 39 make more sense to me. God tells us they must bury the dead for 7 months to cleanse the land but if the event was nuclear, burying the radioactive corpses would not cleanse the land in 7 months. A person passing by a bone should not touch the bone makes sense if the death was caused by biological war.

Eze 39:10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The
