When Dennis Kaufman was dealing with the aftermath of what he believed was the murder of his mother Nora Kaufman Tarrance circa 2000, a show came on about the cold cases of Zodiac Killer, he was convinced his stepfather who he believed killed his mother, was it. From there, for Dennis, it evolved into a long, journey of dealing with FBI agents, message boards online, news agencies and a stepfather trying to confess he was the real Zodiac but in ways not many would understand. After Jack died, Dennis met Forensic Document Examiner Nanette Barto whom after 5 reports for the FBI had nailed that Jack was the creator of the Zodiac era letters. I ended up meeting both and doing my best to work with them to help prove Jack was the real Zodiac. Dennis, who died 2018, himself, approved of me continuing my efforts to crack Jack’s ciphers, cryptic messages that span decades in 2014. During my own crisis as a 8/14/16 fire victim, Nanette kept inspiring me to dig in deep and keep trying. Then one day in late 2017, after seeing Hunt For The Zodiac Killer on the History Channel and they had brought up the possibility of a Chessboard Cipher for the z340, I realized this method was never really looked into in depth by me. I quickly found messages by taking the 1969 Zodiac letters pages and placing them on top of the z408, seeing where the weird dots and blobs, unusual grammar fit over the symbols with corresponding keys, then anagramming. From there, 2018 was a revealing year of using Jack’s real symbol code keys and finding they often matched Lipstick Killer and Black Dahlia era cryptic messages and then anagramming to see what he had to say. The world of Jack was finally discovered and this book shows how it was done, what and who he wrote to and about and so much more.

This book is dedicated to Dennis Kaufman who knew the truth that the only man he knew as a father figure who was far from perfect but was the one and only zodiac killer who killed the perfect mother: Nora Kaufman Tarrance.

Jack Tarrance is many things including involvement with what became known as the Lipstick Killer cases, so, I will be brief and show some of the early decodes that evolve into the Zodiac cases. The reversed letters on the wall of Francis Brown Ross are an anagram that says: "Im Jack Tarrance I have slain FBR I see more of them yoll see more of me or I am Jack Tarrance. I have slain Francis Brown Ross. I see more of them, you’ll see more of me."
