This book is for my friends who still finds it a pleasure to read. Nothing can replace the pleasure of reading. These are thoughts and emotions that can't be communicated through movies but can only be communicated through books. Entertainment technology makes exponential leaps every decade. Some people even read the books from where these movies were taken. Who knows some of these short stories will be made into movies one day?

    The Mystery of Tumubo Island

The air was filled with excitement as passengers on the vessel were headed towards one of the best beaches in the world. But their excitement was volatile when the small boat took a different turn. Pedro, the navigator didn’t explain anything about the change of course. And Francis Roces wondered why it seemed he was the only one left smiling. The rest settled down to a corner. Then, he realized that other vessels which carried customers going to spend a vacation took a different route. He concluded that vessels for workers had to go around to the other side of the island without mixing with the VIPs. Distinction was made. They were there to work not to spend and enjoy. But for Francis, it was nothing. He reasoned out that it was better because of convenience.

Even from a distance, Francis saw how affluent families bathed on an Infinity pool. Children were tossing beach balls and frolicking on the shallow crystal clear blue water. The scintillating reflection of sunlight on restless waves sparked a joy in his heart. The white sand and the palm trees filled his eyes with beauty for the first time. He had been to a lot of beaches in the country but this one stood out for an X factor. One striking portion of the island were the enormously gorgeous edifices built on it. No wonder there had to be hundreds of workers needed to finish
