DEDICATION
For every black girl and woman who swallowed lies that you should not remember the struggle of our ancestors. That you should not celebrate the uniqueness and beauty of your black hair and skin. Times when you felt rejected by the men in our community, discriminated against because of the creativity and individuality in your name and the countless stereotypes that swirl in the air about us.
It's time to take that power back... In the words of James Brown,
Say it Loud!
I'M BLACK and I'M PROUD!"
