Chapter 1 – Memento Vita

During one night, Morto hears a voice in the night that wakes him up saying, I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?

Getting up, he answers the call, I will go, Lord. If You lead me, I will hold Your people in my heart.

He then goes back to sleep thinking that it was a dream, however, when he wakes up, the village mystic comes to his house and informs his parents that God has called Morto to
