Alien Vacation Invasion

About this ebook
Another old man on his death bed supposedly had incredible things to disclose that would have opened him for retaliation had he disclosed them earlier in his life. And so Jen, a freelance writer for the fringe, was sent in to do the interview. She wrote for magazines that weren’t respected and readers who believed anything they read. It wasn’t what she started out to be, but integrity doesn’t always pay the bills, and superior talent in the real world goes to fewer individuals than parents and teachers would have you believe. It was another alien invasion conspiracy story, so she wasn’t expecting much going in. But it turned into far more than the typical.
Of course some of it was the same old thing like missing time, anal probes, and men in black. Well actually it was men in green and red, but they still used the same stupid explanations for the unexplainable. With this story, however, there were many deviations from the standard alien invasion stories including junk food stealing aliens in deer suits. Or how about talking polar bears and hugging walruses? Not convinced, then what about going back in time, riding the crest of a rogue wave, and doing a Vulcan mind link with a whale? Mr. Kirkpatrick and his wife experienced all of these during a lifetime of having their anniversary vacations rudely invaded by aliens. After hearing his incredible and often humorous story you may not be a believer, but you will enjoy it. As did Jen.

About P.G. HenckP.G. Henck has written several science fiction and fantasy stories with more on the way. His first novel, ‘Beyond The Providers’, was self published in 2019 after many years in development. His next two novels, ‘Elementary Science 101’ and ‘Elementary Science 201’, entered the humorous side of science fiction, where many of his works now reside. The ‘Deep Space Rescue 911’ series has begun with two novellas, and may end with a novel in order to complete the whole story. The ‘Captain Mike’ series will eventually consist of three novellas, each with a different set of circumstances and characters, except for Captain Mike of course. Both series are comedies and follow P.G.’s favorite storyline of an unusual group of individuals making their way through space. The published short stories ‘Distant Neighbors’ and ‘Alien Vacation Invasion’ had parts inspired by real events, which P.G. thinks can be pretty funny in themselves at times. The next short story, ‘Bigfoot Dance Party’, relies on characters from ‘Elementary Science 201’. Being published in the fall of 2021 are the fantasy / science fiction novellas ‘Bring it Alien B’ and ‘Super Absorption’. Both go for the funny bone as well as presenting new interesting characters. Additional short stories and novellas are planned in the next few years along with another novel called Time Minds, which is expected to give readers a heavy dose of fictionalized history made possible through science fiction.P.G. Henck was born in Michigan, and lived in the Great Lakes region for a good part of his life with his wife, the girl next door. The couple then moved to southern Utah to experience the spectacular scenery and endless trails it provides. Though he spent most of his career as an accountant and financial administrator, P.G. Henck’s outside interest lay heavily in the sciences, space exploration, and history. Also a lover of science fiction and fantasy over the years, he has gone out of his way to see every movie and TV show available, both good and bad. His many other interests besides writing include hiking, travel, photography, and website development, along with designing and producing his own book covers. Please go to the author’s website at www.pghenck.com for more information and special deals on purchasing his books.

Chapter One - Dying to Tell
Jen was a freelance writer for the fringe. She wrote for magazines that weren’t respected and readers who believed anything they read. It wasn’t what she started out to be, but integrity doesn’t pay the bills, and superior talent in the real world goes to fewer individuals than parents and teachers would have you believe. It was what she did and she made no excuses for it, or bore any guilt if she didn’t believe what she wrote. Her readers did, and that was all that mattered in dollars and cents.
This new lead from the very beginning seemed like it might not amount to much. Another old man on his death bed with supposedly incredible things to disclose that would have opened him for ridicule had he revealed them earlier in his life. And to make matters worse, it was another alien invasion conspiracy story. Most of them seemed like the same unbelievable story, and the few that were more credible had been portrayed and publicized so often they were more known than the story of Santa Claus.
She approached the hospital room and began to put on her game face. She needed to look comforting and pleasant in order to draw the best story out. The aim here was not to try to pin down facts, but to help the eye witness bring forth the most appealing version of what they say happened. It could be far out, it could be seen as impossible by most, but if it didn’t call to her readers, then the magazines would not be calling her for any more stories. With each new interview, she had to approach it as if it was going to press. Anything less and it was time for her to seek a new profession.
The door was open so she stood there and said with a smile, Mr. Kirkpatrick, I’m Jenny Johnson, we spoke on the phone.
The man was looking right at her when she approached, just like he already knew she was there. Come on in,
he said, not filled with excitement. Have a seat, it’s the only one here.
Jen shut the door before she sat down. Interviews were usually much more productive if you didn’t have prying eyes and ears around every corner. Now on the phone you told me that you have quite a story to tell about events that have happened to you over the years. So start anywhere you want, the floor is yours.
More like the bed,
he muttered. I haven’t got to the floor on my own in quite a while.
He then adjusted his back like he needed better support to begin this long story. "First of all, you have to promise me that you won’t turn tail after the first few anniversary vacations. Things didn’t start to heat up until the later ones. With the first few you’re going to say that this is just a crazy old guy making things up and exaggerating events that happen to others all the time. I know that because starting out even we didn’t recognize it for
