Preface
Ever thought about the serenity of childhood? The childhood that's filled with moments, memories, experiences, innocence and happiness in abundance. The best part of human life is being a kid. Do you know the other word for innocence? Its children. Their world is made up of innocence and happiness. Their lives and freedom is like a soft music, it would flow freely in the air and create happiness.
We become what we learn when we were children. From perceiving things in a way to respecting choices, everything in one way or the other is connected to our childhood. Being a kid is the happiest phase in the journey of life; they rule their home with a soft smile and radiant voice. Nothing bothers them and they fly without wings high in their own blue sky.
Have you ever been on a roller coaster ride? The ride makes you cry, scream, enjoy, excited, scared, you’ll feel almost flying and falling all at once. That’s what siblings do; they’re analogous to a roller coaster ride. Siblings embark a beautiful journey, they pull tricks on each other eventually embracing and understanding each other discovering a never-ending bond of love between them. Like Elsa and Anna, they’re there for each other, always. What we really can't do is that, stop the time, rewind it back and get to experience our childhood once again. But we can always cherish every moment of the childhood with the memories we created while we were children. This book takes you back to the time when you were a care free kid dealing life happily. This book will make you recall your moments from childhood in a heartwarming way.
The tales from this book make a way into your heart and open a doorway to your childhood.
CONTENTS
Prologue
T
he incidents narrated here are of Tabbu’s and Ayu’s who were sweet little sisters living in a small colony, away from the busy life of cities. They grew amidst lust green forest enjoying the beauty of the nature. They were fortunate enough to enjoy the rising sun in blue water, melodious songs of the birds, occasional encounter with wild beasts like deer and bison, soothing sound of the river flowing and last but not the least organic food. Their father was an engineer in the dam construction, leading a very peaceful and tranquil life, free from pollution and unwanted noises of the city, in the project areas. Very few families resided there. It was a small settlement of nearly 200 families who were all loving and co-operative. There were few nomads also who had resided too primitively there. They would bring wild hens, eggs and milk for the people in the colony for money. They wore nothing but a long shirt which distinguished them from the rest. They were called goulimamas.
Every house usually had a tall banyan tree in the garden. The sight of monkeys fighting and chattering was normal. Different types of birds resided in the jungle pleasing the ears of the residents with their melodious songs. Mornings were celestial in that area. Sun rose in the mornings as if it had a bath in the cool, pure blue water. Birds woke up with the rising sun and awakened everybody else with their melodious songs. Trees swayed in the blowing winds as if they were happily welcoming the sun-drenched day. People were always happy and grateful for a yet another new day.
It was such a great ambience that Tabbu and Ayu were brought up with. They were naughty and stubborn, but lovely kids. Their parents taught them the highest value of life. Every mistake they did, taught them a new lesson. They were made to learn from their mistakes to grow up into very capable human beings.
Tabbu was elder to Ayu by 5 years. For five years, she had ruled the hearts of her parents like a princess. The sudden remarkable news of a new guest arriving brought excitement as well as happiness for her. The day Ayu arrived in this world was the most special day in her life. She felt like she now had a new doll to play with. But things were not as she thought. New baby took almost all the attention of her parents without hesitation. From a sole princess ruling their hearts and attention, now she had to share all love with her. This made her exceedingly envious. She would burn in rage if mom would give a
