      The lights in the Academy Arena diminished and over two hundred Space Force numpties sat down, including me. A spot light focused on the centre stage and a man and woman, in army fatigues walked on.

      The arena was half empty. And the benches we sat on formed a semi-circle around the staging area.

      The walls were half coated with large banners conveying the mantras of the Colonial Alliance and the Coalition. Expand, Progress. Protect, Defend.

      The man stepped forward holding a clip board in his left hand. He spoke out in a confident voice.
