INTRODUCTION
Another prayer book. What is different about this one ? I can sense your thoughts, being the last person who would have even considered picking up such a book years ago, let alone writing one! My understanding of prayer was, "this is too personal. No other person can dictate how I am to communicate with my God/Higher Being/Universal Energy".
Additionally there were those constant nagging questions:
why do prayers work for some, but not for me?
are there people with a hot-line to God?
am I not a good human being when my prayers are unanswered?
what is it that I am not getting?
and of course, like most people, I did not dare to ask questions, being afraid of being marked a heretic in a small village.
In other words, I thought praying does not do anything for me. Especially during these times when I honestly prayed in desperation. It did not work. Of course! Not only did it not work, it also left me with self doubt based on aforementioned nagging questions. Obviously the church men in black robes were right. It takes many exhaustive years of theology studies to understand this. And maybe I was simply too unimportant and unworthy to even be heard by God.
Was I up for a BIG surprise.
I have come a long way since then! Literally, not only time wise. Through studies, research in metaphysics, psychology, anthropology and theology, talking to many spiritual people of many faiths, stations and beliefs in the world, I completed my research on prayer.
A research on praying? You are kidding, right? I am not. I
