About the Author
John Jeffrey
Stanton is a husband, father, American football coach/player, journalist and teacher. His work is cited in dozens of technical and non-technical works in the USA and abroad. He has written hundreds of articles on culture, politics and national security, plus commented on the same on radio programs and in publications around the globe. His commentary was carried by CBS Evening News, ABC, CNN, and Investor’s Business Daily immediately following the insurgent attacks in New York City and Arlington, Virginia on 11 September 2001. He wrote over 100 articles, based on over 100 sources, over a five-year period, on the US Army’s, TRADOC, Human Terrain System, part of the nation’s COIN effort. He taught a course titled National Security in the 21st Century at a private high school in the DC Metro Region for 10 years.
While employed by a Russian news agency, he clandestinely and gladly worked for a US government agency. Over a two-year timeframe he exfiltrated information on Russian operations/personnel for use by the US government.
Jeff’s astrological sign is Cancer.
He was diagnosed with incurable metastatic prostate cancer in October 2018. The cancer traveled from the prostate to numerous sites in the skeletal structure. His mother, Joan, died of breast cancer and his father, Jack, from complications of prostate cancer.
His many works can be found under the name John Stanton or John J. Stanton. He is not to be confused with the John Stanton of Buzzfeed or the wealthy John Stanton who owns the Seattle Mariners!
