Chapter One: Celesta                             

It is said that no parent should outlive their children. While that is true for the world of humans. This is not the law of the living universe. The unfortunate law of the living universe is that a star will out live the planets around her and die when the star dies. While this law seems cruel in human terms it is what rules the universe and allows US to survive. By US, I mean those stars that are blessed with one of the rarest elements in the universe, life. While there are countless stars in the universe. Most stars do not possess the elements for life and they live out their years in a lonely void. Their warmth is given to no one. These stars in their isolation sometimes cry out to the universe just to hear their own echos in the darkness. Sometimes if they are lucky they can hear another lonely star and they will talk to each other until the time of their death. When one of the star's light will shine and thank the other for being there at her death because no one not even a star should die alone unmourned and unremembered.

Then there are other stars that has been fortunate enough to have drawn many of the elements of life around them and begin to give them the powers of the elements of life and give birth to children what humans calls Planets.  These very special stars and their children are few and  given the vastness of the universe these stars are beyond happy that their journey through life will not be a lonely one. Because like any mother these planets are her children and she will do all she can to nurture and protect them for as long as she has them. Because these stars know one day her child or she will die. Still the star is so happy that she begins to sing to her children and to other stars around her. As her song is heard throughout the universe other stars with children begin to sing back to her and tell stories about their children this is called Star Songs. 

Star Songs can be heard by any star that is truly tuned into the universe . It is said that Star Songs are the most beautiful songs in the universe. But as beautiful as Star Songs are there is an even more beautiful universal song called Planet Song. Planet Songs are songs that truly living planets sing to each other. So what is a Truly Living Planet. Even though many stars have children many of these children don't have human life. It is human life that is the rarest form of the elements of life that a star can produce. Stars that produce human life are considered truly blessed and are given the highest honor in the universe. The planets who have given birth to human life are guarded by their mother star to make sure no harm will                                                                       

come to that human life. The planet knows how fragile human life is and like its mother sun guards are children with her life. Because those humans are destined to meet with each other and become chores to sing the most beautiful song in the universe call Human Song. This song will bind the universe together into one single shining universe that will send their song to other universes and hopefully another universe will sing back to us.

That is what I am living for. My name is Malina, but humans call me the Star of Telkus. I am one of the many Star Daughters of the galaxy that humans call The Milky Way.  I have been here for billions of human years, but next to many of my older red sisters stars, I am  a young yellow sister star, but I am not alone, I have many other yellow sister stars and we talk all the time. Especially the stars like me who have children, you see I have been truly blessed not only do I have a living planet, its a truly living planet with human life. I am one of a few stars so honored by the universe. So let me tell you about my daughter Celesta known now to her children as Telkus Prime. I remember the day when a cloud of dust drifted around me and clung to me for warmth. I begin to nourish this cloud until it began to take shape into a round gas ball that was filled with parts of the elements of life. Then I understood why this cloud was drawn to me, I had the other elements of life it needed and I gave my little gas cloud all it needed from me and over time I saw my gas ball form until I was ready to give birth. Its seems like only yesterday I gave birth to my daughter Celesta.  Like any new born she was screaming and needed my help just to maintain her orbit around me. Many times I thought I was going to lose her, she was moving so erratic. She had so much life energy I thought it was going to pull her apart. She got so large in a short time. Then one day Celesta  began to pull clouds of dust around her and she was sending her excess life energy into those dust clouds and soon to my surprise and delight Celesta had six children of her own and like her all of them were living.

I was now the proud grandmother six beautiful grand children called  Aurora, Pachamama, Abeona, Badb, Gula, and Ma’at  at lease that's what they were called by the first Telkans but now the current Telkans refer to them by the boring name The Telkan Union. There are times I prefer the first Telkans from eons ago they treated Me, Celesta and my grand daughters  like  gods. I felt the first Telkans love, respect, and even the fear they had for me. During the time of the first Telkans, I was referred to

as goddess Malina the supreme goddess of the universe, the all-mother creator of life.

But now Telkans only know me as The Star of Telkus. I no longer hold a place of fear and wonder as I did so many eons ago. Now the Telkans travel from star to star in their MAX Ships that can open dimensional corridors into space that can take them anywhere. Sometimes, I don't know how I feel about that, on one hand they are fulfilling the goal of bring the universe together, but as a great-grandmother I want my  great-grand children near me. One day when they are all gone, will they forget me, or even tell their children about their great-grandmother I don't want to be forgotten.

You won't be forgotten Mother. Says a female voice behind her.

As Malina, star of Telkus turns around she has now taken on a  human form. She now appears as large woman with golden brown skin and broad wide face and soft hazel eyes that are filled with love. Her golden brown hair is in a tight bun making her look like the mature woman she believes herself to be . She is wearing a multi colored gown made of a cloth that seem to glow like the star she is. 

As she turns around she sees her daughter Celesta. Celesta looks like a younger version of her mother. She also has golden brown skin but unlike her mother she has light green eyes and a oval face that radiates warmth when you look into her eyes. Yet there is a slight sadness in her eyes as if she knows something important that she can not share. 

She is dressed in a blue and brown flowing dress with a gold and silver breast plate that on her reflects her warmth and love .

I know you will never forget me, but what of your grand children. Says Malina in a tone only a worried mother would say when she wants to make her child feel guilty if they don't call her at least once a week.

Oh, Mother you know my grand children, love and respect you. Says Celesta in a soft loving voice.

Then why don't worship me like they did when they were younger. Says Malina in a curt voice.

Really mother, my grand children are grown now, they are reaching out to the stars and are meeting many of my sister's  grand children, but that doesn't mean they don't love you, they are just fulfilling their destiny isn't that the reason we give them life is for them to find their place in the universe. Says Celesta as her eyes seem to smile at her mother.

I know you're right Celesta, but that doesn't make it easier for me to see them leaving me alone. Says Malina as she turns and looks at the Telkan Union in front of her.

I remember not so long ago you told me that, I should control my grand children especially the older ones, you said that I gave them to much power, and you were glad they left, now you want this generation to stay. Says Celesta is she slightly raises her eyebrows.

That's because this generation of your grand children think that they are so intelligent that they don't think they have to worship us, they don't even sing to us like their older siblings did and I like the songs, Am I so wrong to want them to keep singing to me? Says Malina in a slight annoyed voice.

No, mother you are not wrong, but you know the songs were meant for my grandchildren to find my sister's grandchildren and since they have found their cousins now they are getting to know each other so they don't have to sing as much. Says Celesta in a calming voice.

I know, I just want them here a little longer. Says Malina in a winsome voice.

Celesta then walks over to Malina and puts her arms around her. We all love you mother, no matter where we are, we will never forget you. Says Celesta in a loving voice.

I know, I just need to hear it sometimes. Says Malina in the same winsome voice. I tell you what mother, the next time the Planet singers meet, I will make sure they sing a special song just for you. Says Celesta as Malina holds her closer.  But as Malina holds Celesta closer she senses something is wrong with her.

Celesta, is there something wrong you, you seem slightly cold are you sure you are feeling well? Says Malina in a concerned motherly voice.

I feel fine mother, please don't worry about me. Says Celesta in a warm voice.

Alright, I won't worry, but just for me let Gula monitor you for a while Says Malina her voice now sounds more worried then concerned. Mother, you want my own daughter to monitor me as if I am one of her patience. Says Celesta in a slightly insulted voice.

Well, she is the doctor in the family and last time I checked you're family. Says Malina in a stern I won't take no for answer voice.

Celesta sees the stern look on her mother's face and give her mother an obedient nod of the head. Alright mother, I will let Gula check me out, OK. Good, after all mother knows best. Says Malina in a authoritarian

tone. Thank you for coming to see your old mother, don't wait so long for the next visit, and tell your children to come see their old granny sometimes. Continues Malina waving her finger in Celesta face.

Celesta just gives are mother a slight sigh and then she disappears in shaft of blue-green light. Malina then turns around and looks at planet she calls Celesta. With a look of worry and concern.

Chapter Two: The Re-Gen War

The planet known as Telkus Prime is the largest of the seven planets of the Telkan Union. Telkus Prime has been the seat of power of the Telkan Union for the last Forty thousand years. Since the last Re-Gen War that almost destroyed all human life on Telkus Prime. During the Re-Gen War, Telkus Prime was known as Celesta. At this time on Telkus Prime there were several warring factions. The New Celestials they believe in the religion of ancient the First Celestial. The First Celestials were the first children of Celesta who worshiped Celesta and her mother Malina as gods and that they where chosen by them to seek out the Elements of Life and use its power to become masters of the universe.

The New Celestials followed the teaching of the First Celestials as it was written down in the First Celestials holy book called The Elements of Life. That told of the creation of Celesta and her children the six Muses of Malina. It is said that the monks who read this book was given secret knowledge from Celesta to control all life on Celesta, if they would sacrifice human life force to her. She would then make them one with the universe. According ancient Telkan history these First Celestials became so powerful that not even Celesta could control them and they mysteriously vanished from Celesta leaving only their book The Elements of Life that was found by the New Celestials forty thousand years later. It was during the reign of the New Celestials that they were able to translate parts of the book of The Elements of Life. 

The first power that the New Celestials was able to master was the ability to open dimensional doorways between the six Celestial moons called Malina Muses. Now with the power to control access to the six Celestial moons the New Celestials asserted their supreme dominance over what they called Celesta's Heavenly Realm and since they where the only ones who knew how to open the doorways. The New Celestials built monasteries on every Celestial moon and began to rule all of Celesta until according to their teachings the First Celestials return from their journey of the universe and bring with them the   Ultimate Element of Life and make Celesta the supreme planet in the universe.                            

To stay in power the New Celestials knew they had to have an truly invincible army to defeat the many warlords who where fighting in the regions that they did not control. So the New Celestials with the help of the book of The Elements of Life created an army they called Badb and sent them to one of the Celesta's moons to be trained from early

childhood to adulthood. After generations of training the Badbain Army became the deadliest army known and Badb was known as the planet of death. For thousand of years the New Celestials believed that they, with their control over the book The Elements of Life and the dimensional doorways to the six Celestial moons would rule forever.

But unknown to them a new group was rising. They were called the Abeonaian. Unlike other groups over the years that challenged the New Celestials and were defeated. The Abeona looked to the sciences to explain the powers of the New Celestials. So they started to study forgotten technologies like Astronomy, Medicine, Alchemy, other technologies that the New Celestials didn't see as a threat to them. Because the New Celestials didn't see the Abeonaians as a threat the Abeonaian technology was used on Celesta and on Badb to make weapons for the Badbain army. After hundreds of years Abeona technology became intertwined with the New Celestials power rituals until one day fearing nothing from Abeonaian scientist the New Celestials opened other portal to Celesta moons to  allow the Abeonaians to work for the New Celestials or so they thought.

But all the while the Abeonaians were secretly working behind the New Celestials backs stealing the secrets of the book of The  Elements of Life and turning them into weapons to defeat the New Celestials. That day came when the Abeonaian scientist was able to create an artificial doorway from Abeona to Celesta without the New Celestials knowing.

Then the Abeonaians did something that other groups on Celesta would not dare do they created solar ships that could travel to all of the moons of Celesta and soon did not need the New Celestials to open dimensional doorways for them. When the New Celestials realized what the Abeonaians were doing the New Celestials saw this as a betrayal and vowed to punish the Abeonaians and send the Badbain army to destroy all Abeonaian technology and make an example of them to any other Celestials who would dare challenged their power. On Badb the army was ordered to purge all Abeonaian technology from their armory but that was easier said then done.

Over the centuries Abeonaian technology had become some much a part of the Badbain arsenal that  the Badb army could not function without it.  The Abeonaian unknown to the New Celestials created a secret army that had armor that made them as strong as  the Badb army. They did this by grafting the armor to the bodies of their soldiers these soldiers were called Demon Units.

Thinking that they could not be defeated the Badb army using the portal attacked Abeona and was surprised when they meet the Abeonaian Demon Unit army. The battle known at the Battle of the Abeona Desert was bloody and cruel. For hundred years the Abeona Desert was littered with hundreds of thousands of  broken and bloody bodies made up of a grotesque mixture of  Abeonaian technology and New Celestial magic.  After centuries of warfare The New Celestials decided to use  the power of The Elements of Life to destroy both armies fighting on Abeona Desert  by creating weapon made from the negative life force of the dead soldiers.  But when the weapon was used on Abeona. 

The New Celestial was surprised to see that the weapon even though it was powerful and almost destroyed all life on Abeona. Abeonaian technology created a systems of satellites that created a shield around most of Abeona. Despite the carnage on  the Abeonaian army did something no other army as done before they defeated the Badbain army. So complete was the Abeonaian victory of the Badbain army. The Abeonaians were able to capture and control the dimensional portals to escape Abeona and take over Badb and move the surviving Abeonaians to Badb and save them from the deadly ion radiation that now covered most of Abeona.

When the news of the defeat of the until then  invincible Badb army reached Celesta. The New Celestials imposed a brutal form of  marshal law and restricted travel to any of the moons of Celesta by closing all of the dimensional portals and put anyone to death who supported the Abeona freedom fighters. The New Celestials using their knowledge of The Element of Life then created a new and even more powerful Badbain warrior. These warriors had only one mission destroy all of the Abeonaian Demon Units. The New Celestials thought that they had the Abeonaians army trapped on Badb and plans where made to destroy Badb by bombarding it with a lethal ion radiation.  But On the day the New Celestials was to fire their  new lethal negative life force ion bomb at Badb the Abeona used their technology to create their own artificial dimensional portal and use it to attacked the main armory on the New Celestials capital city of  Malina and defeated the New Celestials plans to destroy Badb.

With the dimensional portal open the Abeonaians Demon Unit army fought with the New Celestials' Badb warriors. The war was called the Re-Gen War because both the New Celestials and the Abeonaians would take dead soldiers and prisoners and reanimated them and put them back on the battlefield. This war between the New Celestials and the Abeonaians lasted for hundreds of years until Celesta was split into two major powers the New Celestials in the Northern hemisphere and the Abeonaian in the Southern hemisphere with the six moons a disputed no man's land. For thousands of years an uneasy truces barley held Celesta and her moons together and at any moment all life could end in a ball of flame.

As the war between the New Celestials and Abeona raged for more seemingly countless eons. On one of the moons of Celesta there was hope to end  the  war.  A secret of group people who were exiled from Celesta, Abeona, and Badb who believed that the teaching of  The Elements of Life has been corrupted by power hungry forces of both the New Celestials and Abeona Technologist threaten to destroy all of Celesta. This secret group heard of a legend about the location of a the lost copy of The Elements of Life their mission was to find the lost copy of  The Elements of Life to see if they could find away to stop the war and save Celesta.

For several decades this secret group of people fought through the battlefields and lost many of  their members until on three of them were left and they found the lost copy of The Elements of Life on the smallest moon of Celesta called Ma'at.  They met in the old the First Celestials temple on Ma'at at the foot of the Rainbow mountains so called because the crystals in the mountains changed into a different color when the light of the sun shined on them. The last three members  met in a solar courtyard where the light of the Rainbow mountains would change the color of the courtyard as the sunlight moved across the sky. As the three met they opened The Elements of Life  They studied every part of The Elements  of Life and found a long forgotten part of The Elements of Life"  that talked about how the First Celestials would sing to the Celesta in times of great trouble and ask for her help. 

The passage stated that one person from each inhabited planet must sacrifice their life force  and become come one with Celesta and her mother Malina and ask for their help. After reading this passage the group did not want to sacrifice anyone because they felt that this is how the New Celestials came into power  by sacrificing the life force of  innocents to an ancient superstition. But seeing how the Re-Gen War has ravaged the people of Celesta the last three members of the group seeing no end in sight agreed to sacrifice themselves for the good they hoped for their people. 

So they gathered in the main hall in the ancient Temple of Celesta and opened The Elements of Life  and began to chant the ancient song of the planets.

As they continued to chant the song of the planets they all begin to go into a deep trance as the colors in the room begin to change rapidly till the courtyard seems to lift of the ground. As the three members kept chanting a white aura of light begins to form around them then the auras  of light begin to change colors like that of the Rainbow Mountains. Then from the rainbow of lights an image begins to form. The image begins to take the shape of a woman. As the face of this very youthful and beautiful woman appeared, she has smooth golden brown skin, brown tightly curled hair crowned her pleasing oval face  with kind green eyes and a kindly smile that made you trust her immediately.

She was dressed in a forest  dress and with beige top. She wore a sliver and gold armored chest plate but she did not look like a warrior.  As she looked at the three chanters. She had the look of a young mother listening to her children singing to her. You sing so beautifully my children,  It's been so long since I heard you sing, I thought you forgot. Says the young woman in a calm beautiful voice. 

The three singers stop singing and are transfixed by at the young woman. Then one of them slowly tries to speak. Who......are you....... Says the young woman in a nervous and frighten voice. I am Celesta. Says Celesta as her voice sweetly echoed through the minds of the three singers. And what is yours my dear child. Continued Celesta.

I am Cozetta. She says in a nervous voice.

You are very beautiful Cozetta. Says Celesta as she looks at Cozetta with smiling eyes.

Cozetta is a small young girl who  looks like she has just entered womanhood. She has light tan skin, brown eyes and long black hair. Cozetta is dressed in a lose fitting dark colored robe that is just a giant rag wrapped around her small frame and is showing so much wear that she uses her hands to try to hold it together. Cozetta begins to blush at what Celesta just said to her.

And who are my other two beautiful children. Asks Celesta looking at the two other singers. One is an old man with dark skin, gray hair and strong brown eyes that shows the  hard life he has lived.  His name is Mamuwalde. He is wearing a long blue-green robe with faded silver trim and the faded symbol on the front of the sun with an eye inside a pyramid denoting that he is a Monk of The New Celestials. 

I am  Mamuwalde, goddess Celesta and you obedient servant. Says  Mamuwalde as he bows toward Celesta. Celesta simply smiles at him.

It's been a long time since, I've been called goddess, you must be a child of the First Celestials. Says Celesta.

I am a monk of the New Celestials, goddess Celesta. Answers  Mamuwalde.

And what of you, young one what is your name? Ask Celesta of the young man with pale white skin, purple eyes, white hair and muscular body.  He is dressed in a long black robe that stands slightly open and shows the hint of  damaged armor I am called Jastin Stone. He says in a strong yet angry voice.

I am pleased to meet all of you, but tell me why have you called me after such a long time. Says Celesta slowly looking into all of their eyes.

She can see that each of them have a different reason for calling her. Celesta then motions her hands and the room stops changing colors and they are now all standing in the courtyard in the Rainbow Mountains.

As the three singers look around they realize that they are back in the monastery of the Rainbow Mountains. So my children, what do you want of me? Asks  Celesta has she walks toward the large window that looks out onto the Rainbow Mountains.

For a moment none of them speak then Mamuwalde starts to speak. goddess Celesta, we ask for your help in bringing peace back to your children. Says  Mamuwalde in a humble voice.

Celesta slowly turns around and looks at  Mamuwalde. Mamuwalde, you sound like your ancestors, asking for something I can not give them. Says Celesta with sadness in her voice.

I don't understand goddess Celesta, why can't you give us the peace that we are crying out for?. Says shocked Mamuwalde.

Because Mamuwalde, the peace you seek for your people comes from each other not from me. It's your responsibility to grant each other peace, and no amount of praying to me will grant you something you are not willing give to each other. Says Celesta as her kindly eyes looked at  Mamuwalde.

Then Celesta looks at Cozetta. She is still trembling before Celesta.  Cozetta, what do you want from me? Asks Celesta. I.....want to stop being afraid, all my life I've been living in fear of my own people. I know that this fear is tearing apart the soul of our people and it is going to kill us all. Say Cozetta in a trembling voice. I see in your face the terror that this fear has brought to your soul and I grief for you, but I can't ease your fear, until you decide not to be afraid, you must look into the eyes fear and change your fear into courage. Your courage is just as strong as your fear, you just have to decide which mistress you will serve. Says Celesta as she slowly glides toward Cozetta and looks into Cozetta's frighten eyes.

Lovely words Celesta, but they mean nothing when men addicted to power, create things like me. Says Jastin Stone as he interrupts Celesta.

He then removes his long robe and reveals his cyborg chest-plate, arms, and hands, he then touches the side of his head and a metal helmet covers his face. I am death created by science and magic, I was created by men who have gotten drunk on power, I am the one who destroys peace and instills fear in the people of Celesta, Look at me and tell me there is nothing you can do. Says Jastin Stone in a now cold robotic voice.

Celesta looks at her refection in Jastin Stones' helmet.  Then she raises her hand and gently strokes the side of  his helmet. Then she touches the side of his helmet as the helmet disappears his purple eyes looks at Celesta. Celesta looks at him with sad eyes. Celesta slowly glides toward him.

She then touches his cyborg chest-plate. I can see that you have been around death for so long that life has lost it's meaning, yet you have so much pain for so long, this prison your are in has taken a cruel toll on your soul, and it cries out for freedom. Says Celesta in a sad voice.

"There is no freedom for me, not even death, this prison doesn't allow it, my jailers demand that I kill for them but
