I want to start your day off right.
Did you ever wonder about all the great things about a new day? I drink my coffee out of a Star Trek logo cup with the words, To boldly go when no man has gone before.
That’s two great things, my coffee, and my mug, to get me smiling. Additionally, since I drink more coffee than my friends do, I get to add smile upon smile all the day through.
Then, there are God’s promises. His mercies are new every morning. It increases my joy. As the sun rises, He adds something to my day that I never had before. My coffee gears me up, and gets me into position to appreciate what He has done.
This book is for coffee lovers. Coffee is like a teddy bear to hug, or warmth in your hands on a cold winter’s day. It’s soothing and satisfying. I will explore words that make you think about coffee. By having coffee with Jesus, He gives His reflection on each word as if to say, "Let me tell you about the harvest." Of course, His perspective is the devotional portion of this book.
This book is infused in wisdom by the Holy Spirit. His Spirit, like some high-test caffeine, adds revelation to the scriptures in the devotion. I hope there will be abundant blessings for you this morning. Pick up your cup and let’s venture where no man had gone before.

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4:12
Good morning. The sun has risen; it’s a new day. For a split second, you get a glimpse of your day ahead. You have to face it, but you can’t do it alone. Before the first meeting of the day, or punching the clock, or waking the children, you need coffee.
Just as we face a new day, our life has a beginning, noontime, and end. It is filled with moments of happiness, sadness, and every challenge. The bible states that there are seasons of life, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, a time to search, a time to give up, a time to be silent, a time to speak, a time to hate, a time to have peace. Seasons are for all people, regardless of your race, religion, or ethnic background. Today, you are in a new season of life.
Yet, just as we need to face a new day, and a new life, we have to consider that life doesn't end at death. Therefore, our morning was a time before we were born and God knew us. Our noontime is now, where we can observe the seasons in the light of day. Finally, our evening time is when we pass away. Where will you spend your evening?
Your morning started with God who conceived you in His mind. Your birth was through Jesus the Lord, creator of all things. Therefore, your beginning was with the Lord. How then do you spend your day? Do you harbor bitterness and resentment because of the seasons you are in? Do you blame God? If so, you may decide to leave Him. Jesus’ disciples were asked if they wanted to leave His side. They replied, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Your evening time, after you pass from this life, has two options: to live forever with Jesus Christ, or to live forever without Him. Do you want to leave Him midday to take on the evening alone? Salvation is through our faith in Jesus alone. We don’t need to believe just in what He did to get us here, but also in what He will do when we enter the season when we will die. Our faith in Him is that He will resurrect us to salvation, in a new body, to be with Him. Our best day, that meets all our needs, has Jesus in every season we go through. Lord, today is the day I declare that you are what I need.
Personal Reflection Notes:
Meets my Needs
"Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. - Matthew 6:8
If coffee were gold, we would be rich people for all the coffee we have enjoyed. Coffee puts a smile on our face just in the nick of time. Coffee gives us the gumption to take on the world, and know that when we are running dry, there is more to come.
Jesus was a commander. He met a Roman Centurion, a man of rank, in the Roman army. He said to Jesus, "For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does
