About this ebook

Science versus Grand Design, College versus Church, Theory of Evolution versus the Holy Bible, Darwin versus God. One side is right and the other is wrong. Or could they both be incorrect? What if I tell you that you do not exist? What if I tell you that our Creator is real but we are not? Would such statements be a total nonsense? I bet that after reading this book you will change your mind not about everything you have learned before and, most importantly, about yourself.

    About the Author

The investigation of scientific progress has found a rule for how such a process develops: at first the data that doesn’t fit is ignored, when it gets a bit more it is suppressed by disqualifying its sources, and when finally the amount of data gets too much or some decisive fact is found, the overall community changes its opinion in the sense in that they say that they always silently supported the new view, but it was the colleagues who held them back. This process is so widespread, that there is has gotten its own name: paradigm shift.

I am happy to be an astrobiologist. Meaning, that I am a little bit of both physicist-astronomer and biologist-anthropologist. Almost all scientists are either strictly physicists, mathematicians, chemists, astronomers, anthropologists, neuroscientists or geologists and while doing tremendously hard work in their own fields, they are still missing the big universal picture. …. This book is difficult, and requires a lot of brain work. But once you read it, you will look back and say ok, now I understand it and it’s amazing how much smarter I have become looking at everyday things though a completely different prospective.

    Prologue.

How do you feel about an image on the previous page? Are you a good Christian and offended? Or are you a good Christian and quite happy seeing Jesus saving fallen Mary Magdalene from the devil? Or, perhaps, you are non-believer and looking at the picture from solely artistic point of view? But what do you see?

I created this drawing around Christmas 2011 for my art book trilogy Angles and Demons and quite a few people have seen it since then. It invoke a wide spectrum of different emotions and comments from anger and rage to happiness and content. Thus, one Christian Catholic viewer stated that he is happy to see Jesus praying so hard that devil had to back off and release Mary Magdalene from hell to the light of the true faith. Other Christian Orthodox said that the image is satanic and goes against all the church stands for. Another fellow artist was simply fascinated about the distinct 3D perspective of the drawing. While one famous psychic wrote me the following I read your book 2012 Hoax or Shock? few years ago and was amazed how correctly you have predicted quite a few things… Now, I think this image came from your sub-consciousness and the meaning of it that our world will end soon.

Well, I disagree with the psychic. In fact, I disagree with all these people. Why? Take a close look and this image will fall apart into tiny pixels. Take a closer look and all you see will be the molecules of cellulose (C6H10O5 - chemical formula) from which the paper in this book is made of and a tiny bit of printing ink (C11H17O4P). Zoom more and all you see will be atoms of Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen from which both paper and ink are composed with just a very few phosphorus atoms coming from the printing ink. Therefore, the image itself does not exist. What exist is a collection of atoms forming molecules. Yet, they evoke so many different emotions.

But what if I tell you that you do not exist? What if I tell you that our Creator is real but we are not? Would such statements be a total nonsense? I bet that after reading this book you will change your mind not only about the image on the previous page but also about everything you have learned before and, most importantly, about yourself.

    Chapter I. Biological Paradox.

Fall 2007 was a cold evening. I was walking my dog named Nikita in the San Francisco Park Merced area. My dog is a small but fearless Lhasa Apso breed who is afraid of nothing. That day he saw a pipe with a faucet sticking from underground and also closely resembling a snake (at least from my human point of view). Nikita jumped back immediately and started growling at that snake like pipe! It was the first time in my life when I saw my dog genuinely afraid of something.

My dog remembered this encounter with the evil pipe and the next day, when we were passing it again, he crossed the street right before we reached that place. It was repeated several times on subsequent dog walks, until I came to that rusted pipe and showed my dog that it’s not alive. Nikita sniffed it very carefully and was no longer afraid of that snake like structure. The strangest thing of the story is the fact that Nikita, who is an urban dog, was never bitten by a snake and never encountered or even saw a snake.

I almost forgot about this funny dog encounter with the rusted pipe until a couple months later when my daughter Alisa was born. She was only a few days old, lying peacefully in her pink cradle, when some relatives arrived to see a newborn baby, coming one by one to the cradle smiling at her. Alisa was in a good mood. She was smiling back at them, until this same dog decided to check out what all the commotion was all about. He put his hairy wet nose in her cradle! Alisa’s mood changed instantly. She was trying to hide and was crying in fear! Nikita is a very cute white dog but from my newborn daughter’s perspective he
