About this ebook

It was Halloween, cold and dark, and the frost had set in for the night. The hard ground crunched under the feet of the children as they walked closer and closer towards Mrs Betherwaite's house. Their hearts pounding, bravely they peered through the window to see the rocking chair moving back and forth. The old lady looked up from her book in their direction. Two nights previously, under an old oak tree a group of friends talked about the strangest things they'd ever seen. Andy announced that he had seen the ghost of Mrs Betherwaite. Curious, the children wanted to see for themselves. They find out that the ghoslty old lady needs help with one last task before she can rest. What is stopping her from moving on? Will they help her with her quest? This is a story in verse about ghostly adventures and emphasises the important things in life. It touches on subjects such as love, pets, friendship, connection, our own nature, the bonds we make and the universal cycle of life.
