Gary Johnson

Gary Johnson began his career in 1964 at NASA Johnson Space Center as a project engineering in the Power Distribution and Sequencing Section for subsystem support of the Apollo sequencer system. Following various roles and responsibilities, last being Associate Director for Technical, Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate, he retired from NASA in 2006. From March 2007 to June 2010 he was an SAIC IPAO Contract technical consultant on the Constellation Program Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle Standing Review Board for Safety, and from June 2007 to September 2012 he was an SAIC Safety & Mission Assurance Support Services Contract technical consultant for Apollo and Space Shuttle lessons learned training and Space Shuttle and International Space Station (ISS) S&MA Flight Safety Office assessments. As of October 2012, he has been an Aerospace Safety Consultant for J & P Technologies, supporting the SAIC Safety & Mission Support Engineering Services Contract to the NASA Johnson Space Center Safety & Mission Assurance Directorate, Flight Safety Office.

Introduction

Helping others succeed has always been a passion of ours.  We also share a lifelong desire for learning and success.  This became a driving force behind writing this book.  The greatest asset in life, business and success is people and more importantly, the ability to relate to people.  However, relating to people generates a lot of obstacles.  One thing that helped us overcome a lot of obstacles in life, in addition to the lord’s guidance, has been philosophy, motivation, inspiration, and great quotes. The purpose of this book is to provide a positive message, a level of happiness, direct motivation, inspiration, and most importantly help, as you journey into a life of success and happiness. A philosophy we have adopted is; first we live, then we learn, and once we give, then we earn.  A simple translation to this life philosophy is; we are rich with family and/or loved ones, education from school and life, and once we help others by sharing our time, knowledge, love and support, then we begin to truly earn, and experience, a life of success.

As we have dedicated our lives to a lifelong learning process, we have experienced the unexpected, and you too may experience some unexpected growth in your own journey, and may find some comfort in becoming uncomfortable along the journey.  By doing so, it enables you to understand what we have is temporary, but what we give lasts beyond the restrictions of a lifetime.  While we all have the same constraints of a 24 hour day, we have the option on how we control that time spent.  You may be a busy person, possibly have a family and children, bills to pay, mouths to feed, a job with expectations, but choices still exist, unless you decide to give up, but that is still a choice.  We have all heard the clichés for years and the lottery always reminds us, we cannot win if we do not play.  We cannot win in life if we choose to sit it out.

However, we have some good news for you. We have a solution to help you begin your journey. We also believe that your overall health is a key component to your success in life. Your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being are the four key elements of balance you need to possess in
