    Preface

As every reader knows, adversity, even the daily struggle, can sometimes make for difficulties. Ideally, everyone has experienced warm and fulfilling relationships that make the journey a discovery of joy. Even though life bruises the spirit along the way, who hasn’t stared eagerly at the stars, hoping for inspiration to questions or concerns, or gazed boldly across the ocean’s grandeur, yearning for excitement and adventure, or courageously imagined what majesty lies beyond the horizon and if dreams are truly achievable. From God, who is our home:

Heaven lies about us in our infancy!

But those words seem as applicable today in their description of a modern tale of evil, which seems to be intensifying against that which has always been recognized as good. In the 21st century, bountiful evidence of the best of times, is observed in
