    Erotica - Tina Long

    A Caring Help

When Paul met Nancy, he was going through a rough patch after the death of his pregnant woman in a tragic road accident two years ago. He was really wealthy as he spent over fifteen years building his business. He was now living in an apartment complex as he was afraid to stay in the big house he had bought with his wife.

He was trying to keep himself busy but did not have to work hard since other people were running his various businesses. He just needed to show up from time to time to sign some letters. After the funeral, he lost contact with most of his friends and family and spent many days in his bed without eating.

One day, he was walking the street thinking about his wife Francine with tears filling his eyes.

Watch out pal, said a voice behind him.

Paul turned and realized that he was in the middle of the street.

I am sorry, he apologized as he moved away.

He noticed some homeless people sitting on the other side of the road. It was not unusual but a young woman among them caught his eyes as she was gazing back at him. He had a feeling that she did not fit there despite her dirty clothes. She was not smoking or drinking like others and appeared to be more conscious of her surroundings as she knew that she did not fit there. She smiled at him as he walked away. He did not see her for two weeks.

Do you have some change to spare sir? asked a female voice one day as Paul was leaving for the office.

He looked down and saw the woman sitting in front of a shop with a man sleeping in a dirty blanket.

I am sorry, I do not have any change with me, he replied.

I knew it, motherfucker, said the man beside her.

Just shut the fuck up, barked the woman to the man.

Do not mind him, he is silly, said the woman.

When I come back this evening, I can bring you food, he suggested.

We need money, no food, you dickhead, replied the man.

Shut up loser, snapped the woman.

Forgive him, that would be lovely, replied the woman with a smile.

On his way back from work, Paul bought some food at the supermarket with a pack of cigarettes and two beers. He found the homeless people at the same place. The man was still wrapped in his blanket while the woman was squatting at the other side with her eyes closed.

He noticed the strap of her black bra showing under her bright top. He knew that women with huge boobs used to wear bras with wide straps. He began getting a mental picture of this woman. Her smile was infectious and her sex appeal was oozing. He gently put down the bag and began walking away.

    Thank you, said the woman.

He turned to wave at her while she divided the food and gave half to the man. However, she gave him the two beers. She waved back at Paul with a smile and Paul returned home.

For two months, Paul did not see the woman and one afternoon, during winter, he was heading to his home when he saw a sign on the door of a church saying there was food for homeless people. He found out that the church would serve food at seven o’clock and managed to offer his help with hope to see the woman again.

He met the pastor that evening and he showed him around the kitchen while introducing him to the other parishioners. The pastor asked another young man to help him. The name was Richard and they had to open corned beef.

They finished cooking one hour later and Paul kept checking the door to look for the woman. Then, he saw the rude man entering the church but he was alone. He took some food and sat next to the door. Two minutes later, the man stood up and walked to the door.

What are you waiting for? asked the man.

Then, Paul saw the woman entering the church. He came to her and handed her some food. She lifted up her eyes to look at him.

Oh, you are here, hi, greeted the woman with a smile.

Hello, nice to meet you here, he replied.

Do you want some bread? he asked her.

I never thanked you properly for your food the last time, said the woman.

I gave Dave the beer because I do not drink alcohol but I kept the cigarettes for myself, do not tell him, she added.

Well, I do not think that Dave and I will be that close to have such a conversation, he replied as they sat a little away from other people.

I know, he does not talk too much except when he is high, she said.

Do you mean that he is on drugs? he asked.

Yes, of course, he is a complete loser, look at him, she replied with a laugh.

Are you on drugs? he asked.

No, my only vice is tobacco and I hope that I will leave the streets before falling into drugs, she replied.

I have been out since last spring, she revealed.

So, you and Dave are…, he did not have the courage to finish his sentence.

No, we are just friends and I need some protection out there, she explained as she looked at Dave.

He is not my type and to be honest he is in love with his dragon, she added as she winked at Paul.

How did you end up in the streets? he asked.

It is a long story, she replied.

He sensed that she did not want to talk about it and he did not want to push it.

Sorry, it is none of my business…I need to go help in the kitchen, he said as he stood up.

I would like to help but the pastor won’t like it, he does not trust us with knives, she explained.

He smiled and walked back to the kitchen. When he was done, he found the woman lying on the same bench they were talking. He took one of the blankets offered by visitors at the beginning of the evening and draped it gently over her as she was asleep.

The woman barely moved and he left the church. He felt a new strength in him as he walked back home. He had now a purpose. His belongings meant nothing to him and he needed people around him.

Since it was a Christmas season, he spent the rest of the week buying gifts for his family as he planned to visit them the next week and to come back a few days before Christmas.

When he was about to leave, he visited the church again and found out that it was not a homeless shelter since the pastor wanted it to be ready for Christmas celebrations.

Sandra was looking for you the other day, said Richard.

    Sandra? asked Paul.

Yeah, the homeless woman you were chatting with, he replied.

They chatted a bit but Richard did not know where to find Sandra. Paul checked the usual areas of homeless people on his way back home but he did not see them. He went to visit his family and they were really happy to see him. He returned home two days later.

When he was opening the lobby door, he looked aside and saw Sandra wrapped in the same blanket he had draped her the last time they were together. He did not see Dave around her and she was smoking.

He went upstairs fast and began boiling milk. He rushed to the guest room and placed two big towels with a dressing robe on the bed. He walked back to the kitchen and filled two huge mugs with milk and added chocolate. He raised the temperature of the apartment and picked the pugs up before going back out.

Hello, he greeted under the snow.

Sandra was shivering as she looked up at him and tried to smile.

What are your plans for Christmas? he asked as he handed her a mug and sat beside her.

Well, I do not have any really, I will just stay out quietly, she replied.

I would like you to be my roommate for Christmas, he said directly.

Okay even if you offer because you are lonely, she replied with a smile.

No, I am not, it is just…, he struggled to reply.

I am joking, thanks for the offer, she said.

Then, let’s go, he said as he got up and offered his hand.

He helped her get up and they picked up her belongings before walking to his home. She dropped her stuff near the door and nervously entered the Apartment.

Do you like Chinese food? he asked as he placed
