Dedications

There is only one person who I am going to dedicate this book to and that is the person who deserves the most credit for inspiring me to write a story Purrlock Holmes and Dr. Woofson in: The Case of the Barking Cat and that is Derek McDonald.  We sat at our local pub talking about writing and topics. Then he came up with the idea for this story and since then it just materialized into a 38 page children’s mystery.   This is going to be a part of a series and book Two, currently in its infancy, will be out by mid 2015 thanks to the inspiration of my long-time friend.

Characters

Good Guys

Purrlock Holmes - Bengal Cat - loves to suck a lollipop - helps him think

Wears a top hat and trench coat with blue jeans.

Dr. Tom Woofson – German Shepherd and Purrlock’s best friend and sidekick.

Willie the Dachshund - constable and first on the scene (good for sniffing out clues) wears a British bobby hat.

Wanda the Dachshund – 2nd in command constable

Larry the lab – dog with glasses – forensic analyst

Pierre and Fifi the poodles - while at the park - over hears Bruno and Morley discuss the heist

Danny, Dora and Junior Dalmatian – witnesses to the heist

Ginny Greyhound – the victim who had her cart stolen

Tiger the Tiger cat – secretary at the lab

Bad Guys

Professor Scruffy Meowiarty – the ringleader of the gang who, loves trouble.  He is a scruffy looking tabby with fur patches missing and a rip in his ear. Meowiarty wears a fedora, mostly to hide his imperfections.

Bruno – tough bulldog who does the hard stuff like breaking into
