1.2 Introduction: The Truth About Me
The first time I heard Good hair is healthy hair
, I was a teenager in cosmetology school. My instructor often used this phrase to correct us whenever we suggested that one person’s hair texture was better than the next. Fast forward about twenty years and you’ll hear me repeating, Good hair is healthy hair
to my clients over and over again. I’ve made it my passion to give every client that sits in my chair good hair.
I care for my client’s hair. And when I say care, I mean the verb-to care: to look after and provide for the needs of. That is my job. I love what I do, every day. The money I earn is an added blessing. So I’m going to give you the truth about good hair. And the truth shall set you free.
Hair care has been my passion since I was a little girl. One of my earliest memories about my passion is career day in elementary school. My teacher told us to come dressed as what we wanted to be when we grew up. I came dressed in a white lab coat, equipped with a pair of shears and a comb
