    Remembering blue eyes

    The shine

    In that gaunt face

    Desperate

    Large and hoping

    A beautiful face

Loving that was more important than anything else.

    She drove away

All her things in the car

    He stood watching

    The tires kicking up the

    Indian summer dust

    The evening closing in

Around Monarch butterflies in the air.

    He should have

    Went with her

    He should have followed.
