introduction
I have never understood the world or the people in it. But I have felt brief glimpses of acknowledgement about the order of things occasionally, alone in a room reading, listening to music, riding my bicycle through the slower motion landscapes, sitting in a plane looking down out the window or getting a boarding pass in hand to anywhere really, the farther away the better. These poems have that connection to one another, simple brief acknowledgments of the order of things without the whole burden of pure understanding. The burden of course remains though, and the words may form some sort of release, I hope.
