Drop It!: Operation Leave Gravity Alone

About this ebook
-Kenneth Wood Author of The Silent Winds of October'
"He paints the canvas of the mind with the color of thought. What is real remains the same and what was once surreal becomes more than that. A catalyst for the movement he, too, is a ready man, prepared for the cascaded journey ahead. Remembering the past, recognizing the now, and understanding the randomness of the future that may be encountered, no sunrise will go unnoticed; the sun will not set until the task at hand is complete. The illumination places him in his own reflection, forcing the confirmation of his existence, and the evaluation of ours. The power lies within him, it's on the mind."
-Liam Ahearn

Foreword
from the editor-NICEFROPRESS@rUNO.COM
Originally this volume of poetry DROP IT! Operation Leave Gravity Alone was published in part in ON THE MIND. The original ON THE MIND was published through Nicefro Press and printed by chap-books.com. The printing company has since gone out of business and that’s where this volume picks up.
Part two here in DROP IT! Operation Leave Gravity Alone is a combination of most of the poems in the original part two of ON THE MIND and a new batch of unpublished poems submitted by the author and approved by the editor. DROP IT! Operation Leave Gravity Alone is this authors second volume of Random Thoughts and Poetry and also contains elements from the compilation Messages from the Universe published in October 2002 by iUniverse. All of the author’s published work can be accessed through the web page www.nicefropress.com including the three out of print books that came before Beginning From the End published in August 2001.
Part one contains forty-six poems. These poems were all written during 1997; supposedly they are parts of letters that were never sent. The author has told me time and time again that they were written with Ed Linehan on the mind. I don’t know what that means, but nothing surprises me anymore with this writer it might mean something it might not, and it might not matter either way.
Part two contains 49 previously unpublished poems as was stated above. These poems were written all at different times between 1992-2003.
The author also wants me to thank you for him; the success of his writing (if any) is a direct result of support of those reading and supporting independent artists whatever their curse might be…
Thank you and enjoy (or at least think).

ON THE MIND
STORMING THE CASTLE
how is the weather in the city
coffee hot enough
they really don’t care
just thought they’d ask
how does the shirt fit
the one just borrowed
yeah—heard him die last night
stabbed with index to the side at the ribs
shaky disposition to someone who cares
can’t bother with those problems right now
only three days to make
the world believe that he is immortal
don’t think that the stone will slide to one side
the things that upset him only come
to parched lips on a sponge
on a stick forced into the face
just a little wine he asks &
treat him like a pickle?
what about that highest elected officials
he is not to be tolerated by them
of course not
they’re too busy in the square saunas
in DC what goes on there
trust guidance from some
but they will hide below the ground
while he takes care of this problem
they tell us knock three times before entrance
retrieval so they can put on tuxedos and greet the
barren wasteland with noah and all the animals
good luck storming the castle…
REPROGRAMMED
anyway
how did the operation go
are we still on for friday night
does my mind have to wait another two years
until it is reprogrammed
heard they found the cure for the common cold
but where on earth will I find
$47—that’s a lot of cans to collect
I don’t think I have the right
just sniffle a bit and let it run its course
too many people and not enough
angry words
for everyone guess they are going to have to share
plenty of work to do
monotonous
excuse me ready man
do you have a thought I can borrow
can’t seem to stab the golden monkey
for a stolen dream or two
in order to get out of my own head for awhile
good old winchester joins me for a cup of coffee
and a few cigarettes
don’t know what the hell he is talking about
he could be the one who has all the answers
what a waste it is knowing that no one listens to him
how about that thought
do you have one ready
will I have to go to another yard sale
where some angry priest collects money to
build a new garage for his third car
vow of poverty?
ready man I sit here today feeling
too skinny to breathe
don’t want to see anyone
sick of the monotony
waiting to be reprogrammed at last.
STAY WELL
the question still remains
what is the purpose of this here life
a good friend of mine I haven’t seen in sometime
don’t know how to explain
the circles my
