    A Valentine Poem

    Oh loveliest girl, I wonder who you are;

    So pretty and slim; most adorable by far.

    I see you and hope - from a distant mile,

    that you'll give me a glance and a gentle smile.

    I long to whisper when you pass me by

    to tell you secrets and hope to die;

    I yearn to love you and hold your hand

    and swim in those eyes so deep and profound.

    I'll caress your cheek, you are so fair,

    I'll kiss your lips and stroke your hair;

    I dare not tell how precious you are.

    I’ll never forsake you, we'll never part.

    Oh loveliest girl, I wonder who you are;

    So pretty and slim; most adorable by far.

    I love you for ever, all I want is for you.

    I love you sweet * *. I love you. I do.

    Boredom seems to stretch ahead.
