To my beloved daughter: Jennifer Lizeth, my beautiful little girl who was born in 1982 with balance problems and muscular atrophy, which prevented her from walking since she was seven years old, however, she is a living example of patience, serenity and harmony, for those of us who live around her.

Preface

In this book, Antulio Meneses narrates the principles of his childhood, which, without a doubt, as he himself says, is an unforgettable childhood of his childhood and adolescence. Of all the adventures of his life, like yours, and like everyone else's; experiences of what was, and what could be. Of joys and sorrows, of triumphs and failures. Of sins and forgiveness.

That is what it is about, a real history, of true events that took place at different times, and in distant scenarios; in places, towns and cities that witness these experiences.

Antulio is a man dedicated to his family, who, together with his wife Magaly, a brave woman, have procreated five children in Southern California. Their first daughter, born in 1982, stopped walking when she was only seven years old, due to a quadriplegia. Turning them into a special family, starting a life full of difficult situations, but strengthened, day by day, by the mercy of God. At the end of this book, he tells us about the most exciting moment of his life, when he had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, who transformed the course of his life forever.

After the story of this book ends, Antulio moves to Southern California with his wife and the first two children Jenny and Rony, in 1985. Here, he began to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, as Associate Pastor of the Church Un Camino Mejor, in the city of Santa Ana; where he was ordained to the ministry as a Presbyter. Since then, he continues to testify of the great mercies of God, and at present, he uses various means of communication to transmit and teach the glorious Gospel of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

All this narrative, Antulio says, is for the sole purpose of teaching to the world, that God always has a purpose for our lives, in all the things that happen to us throughout our existence.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Introduction

I was born in a picturesque municipality in the northwestern region of the Republic of Guatemala, heart of America. Son of Ignacio Meneses and Rosalina Hidalgo. Member of a family of eight children, of which I am number seven. Two of my little brothers, they left with the Lord when they were babies, and I did not have the opportunity to meet them.

Since I was a child, I always wanted to be a famous writer. After so many years, I still harbor that hope; maybe one day I may reach that goal; Maybe one day I can tell the world, that at the end of so many attempts, I could realize my dream. Meanwhile, I will continue writing and writing, and of course: I will continue, and I will continue, dreaming.

I sincerely believe that when we are determined to carry out a project, we must, with firm steps: Go towards our goal; that is a good beginning, to walk in the correct direction; acquire all the knowledge that is necessary; seek help and ask for advice in all places where we can. Once we have all the necessary information; comes the most important thing: firmly believe that we can do it! This is the most important element, our faith.

We are children of God, and as such, we have all the Divine help, the help of our Lord Jesus Christ. He promised, saying: I am with you every day, until the end of the world (Mt 28: 20b). Then, we can say together with the Apostle Paul, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We know that those who trust in Jehovah will have new strength and that everything that happens in the process will help us for good. Now we can say with certainty that we can, and that we have the skill and, above all, always remembering that if we can believe it, it is possible to realize it (Mr.9: 23).

In all literary work, we face giant mountains and deep cliffs of uncertainty, distrust and indecision. Which, becomes a huge challenge that must be overcome by the person who has started a project. Because, even if we move in a field that interests us beforehand, or that we really know in depth the subject on which we are going to write, especially if we are going to talk about a life of our own, there are many obstacles that can come to our mind. Infinity of thoughts, such as if our work can have the desired results, or if it will throw the inspiration we want to transmit, etc. But those, will be only thoughts of insecurity, that should not, in any way, stop the progress of the project that we have embarked on.

When I start this work of contemporary inspiration, millions of thoughts pass through my mind. I want, for example: to touch the soul and heart of those who read these lines. Yes, I want that as you read these pages, you can travel with me in time; that you can live and experience palpably, the adventures of a life. That you can travel with me to all the places of the past, and that you feel in the depth of your heart, that you have been transported precisely to the same place of these narratives. I want that we can live this story together, to fly with me to the highest regions, in the unimaginable wings of thought.

I want to take you on paths of indescribable beauty. For unfathomable places of serenity, sweetness, and blessing. Let us travel together in the wagons of time, in the mysterious railway of existence. And that we reach the highest peaks, to see from the heights, the wonderful traces of our own imagination.

I begin this story, in a day of so many, of all those wonderful days that God has allowed me to live, in this splendid land of the universe. Walking alone, along the paths of life, pensive and taciturn; enjoying the fresh shades of colored trees, and listening to the soft fall of the leaves, which year after year, say goodbye to the trees that saw them being born. And in their inevitable fall, they move slowly, very slowly, until they touch the ground, turning it into a majestic carpet of bright colors and delicate tones. Transforming pastures and paths, into true works of art, to give poets the rhymes of their inspiration.

Certainly, that was a place of divine inspiration, pleasant and splendid. The day was radiant, and I had to take advantage of time and space, to start this literary
