    BACKGROUND

    Computer System is an important Information Communication Technology (ICT) tool. It is central to the accomplishment of most ICT processes, which include data gathering, data manipulation (processing) and data storage. It further includes data security and data transmission among others. The advancement in ICT and its influence on every area of human endeavors necessitate the need for computer literacy by all. Specifically, in order to be a relevant player in the electronic learning (e-learning) models of educational system, computer literacy is required by all stakeholders in the educational sector. E-learning models are being developed as a complementary and supplementary mode of education to facilitate anytime and anywhere qualitative education.

    This course is conceived to provide fundamental computer literacy skills for the undergraduate students.
