Stephen and Michelle are your typical suburban, Midwest, middle-class couple with two small children. They both attend church every Sunday and work day jobs in the city. In the evening, they retreat to their cookie-cutter home. Michelle is an elementary school librarian and a Sunday school teacher, while Stephen is an account executive in radio sales. Michelle is thirty-four and has an average build at five foot four with dark hair. Stephen, at thirty-two, is six-three with a stocky build and blonde hair.

Having been married before, Michelle married Eric, her first husband, shortly after graduating from college. She divorced him on her twenty-seventh birthday. Eric was an alpha male, quite dominating, but also very well endowed. That endowment is the only thing she misses from her first marriage. She met Stephen a year after her divorce. They acted quickly and were married six months later. Michelle looking back feels like she rushed it and didn't give herself a chance to enjoy her brief amount of freedom.

Stephen had never been married before he met Michelle. He never dated much. Not being an alpha male and not at all well-endowed, which made him feel inferior, kept him from being comfortable meeting women.

The two met through mutual friends at a Halloween party, and Michelle fell for Stephen right away. She fell for him not just because of his good looks but also for his kindness, something she was missing from her first marriage with Eric.

With their upcoming seventh wedding anniversary approaching, neither feels as close to each other as they once were. Possibly it was the seven years together, having two small children, or something else, but what is clear to them both is the lack of intimacy they now have.

Whenever Stephen would try making love with Michelle, she would tell him she didn't feel like it. He has showered her with attention and brought home flowers weekly, but nothing seems to motivate her. They never really had an active sex life, to begin with, but now the well is dry.
