Dr. Less Miller is a once-in-a-century mind, a second-generation research bio scientist that has a state-of-the-art government-funded laboratory. He is the rock star of the science community partially for his father's fame as well as for his own accomplishments. When a colleague of his says in a news conference that there will never be a cure for cancer in his own lifetime, Less finds this statement irresponsible and a challenge to himself.
