About this ebook

Teak and his friends arrive at Queen's Bay for a tropical vacation. But something strange is happening on the small island of Queen's Bay. There are no men to be found, only the oddly similar island girls, and the beautiful women of the staff, eager to make the newcomers feel at home.

While the others drift easily into the sensual pleasures of the island, Teak notices more strangeness, an investigation that will take him into the heart of the island's secrets, where minds and bodies are transformed into something more useful... Something more pleasurable...

A new story of drones, gender bending, and mindbending horror!

Thank you, as always, for reading these stories. To be clear, The Hive series is not a single story. They are, however, connected by the same themes. Now, on to the kinky fun!

Special thanks to Jade and Tira for cleaning up my messes...

It was strange, Teak thought, to hear the sound of actual airplane engines. He was so accustomed to the high whine of jet engines, that the sputtering, coughing belch of actual propeller-based plane engines growling their way over the ocean set him on edge. The way the lighter plane swung with the winds wasn't doing much to calm his nerves, either.

Beside him, Deb was flipping through the magazine she found tucked in the seat in front of her. The kangaroo pouch had been stuffed with in-flight readers and brochures for Queen's Bay Resort and Spa. When she looked up from the magazine, Teak thought her green eyes were as brilliant and deep as the blue waters they passed over, the same waters Deb now craned her neck to see beneath them.

We could have taken one of the family's jets, Tyler offered from the row behind Deb and Teak.

Carrie was half in his lap, her sunny expression turned toward her man when he spoke. Carrie was a throwback, Teak thought, the kind of woman who went to college to marry. Matrimony university, Deb called it, when she had a couple of glasses of wine in her and was feeling less forgiving about her friend's ambitions. Carrie was long and leggy and had a mess of wavy blonde hair that made her look like she'd come out of the Pacific surf rather than a Midwestern small town.

Tyler's offer of a jet wasn't just talk. Teak had known Tyler since college, and the two of them became fast friends. When Tyler casually mentioned his parents' summer home in Paris and groused about the size of the new yacht, Teak thought it had been for show. But the reality was, Tyler's family was loaded. This was another point of contention for Deb, who thought Tyler's wealth, or that of his family, was ostentatious. Teak knew it was a matter of fact for Tyler, who did his best, God help him, to come off as a normal human being.

Deb shoved the latest in-flight magazine back in the seat's pouch and stretched in the tiny seat. I am ready to start vacationing. I hope the resort is half as good as they advertise.

Did you see they have private masseuses? Carrie asked. She had a big smile that showed all her teeth, and it was infectious.

Some elaborate gardens, too, Teak added.

Who gives a shit about gardens? I can see plants at home. I want blue skies, bluer water, and plenty of time alone with a certain blonde.

He punctuated the last with a lewd kiss that had Deb and Teak looking away and Carrie nearly leaving her seat entirely.

We're beginning final descent, the pilot announced over the cabin's speaker. Teak thought he could have opened the door to the compact room at the front of the plane and announced the same thing over his shoulder, but there were rules for such things, he supposed. Fasten your seat belts and remain seated until the seatbelt light is off and we've come to a complete stop at the terminal. Welcome to Queen's Bay.

Ignoring the seatbelt warning, the four passengers took a post by the porthole windows, watching as the world beneath suddenly broke from the deep blue stain of sea to the sandy beaches and thick greenery of Queen's Bay Island, a swath of land amidst the great blanket of waters.

    It's gorgeous! Carrie gasped.

    Not bad, Tyler agreed.

Deb squeezed Teak's hand, and, for a moment, Teak thought the week on the island might just save them.

The terminal was a single building with a tower rising from one end. Queen's Bay's single airport was not equipped to handle the big-bellied jets, but small aircraft were littered to the sides of the single runway, airborne taxis awaiting their next fares. A set of steps lowered from the plane and deposited the quartet on the tarmac outside the modest terminal. The cargo hold of the plane opened, and one of the male attendants from the plane unloaded the bags onto the tarmac. Before any of the group could take their bags, a throng of young women appeared from the terminal, dressed in breezy dresses of vibrant colors. To a one, they were deeply tanned and extraordinarily beautiful. Even the attendant from the flight looked dumbstruck as a pair of the girls took up the bags and rewarded the flight attendant with pearly grins.

Welcome to Queen's Bay, one said, reaching up to place a wreath of tropical flowers around Tyler's neck. He looked back at the rest, laughing.

More of the island women arrived, offering up similar wreaths in welcome. More enjoyably, the wreaths were accompanied by tall plastic glasses filled with a blue liquid.

Drink, one of the island girls said, it's good.

Tyler gave his cup a sniff and then a taste.

    "Holy shit,
