Introduction
[When ignorance overcomes knowledge everything can happen...] I Nina, a village girl from an era that was long forgotten by time, know this very well, so well that I will never forget it, just as I will never forgive them...
We lived revering and believing in Gods, spirits and more, feeding their egos at any cost, but... The most precious thing for our ancestors... Was human sacrifice, feverishly believing that this way we would honor the Deities who kindly
cared for us and without knowing it, we humans broke the balance that kept our land in peace, so that once again we would cry over the already spilled water.
First Chapter
That Encounter
It was spring, the breeze was soft as if it caressed you by touching you lightly without hurting you, the flowers were bright and beautiful, a paradise before mortal eyes, and among so much beauty that would be a very special day...
-Ninaaa what are you doing? -Girl, it's late, go to the river for water before it's too late! Ohhh even the River God himself will be upset about how late Nina will be breaking into his home.
- Yes mother! I'd better hurry or she'll scold me again. I almost forgot, I must get the jug first.
-Ahhh that's exhausting!-. Nina walked slowly, trying to balance her lack of air and the weight of a jug that was still empty but already felt heavier than a rock of her size.
-I'm sure when I get home I'll be so thirsty that I'll have to drink all I have on my own. Although Nina said it as a joke, her face was saddened by feeling useless and not being able to accomplish even a simple task like that.
- Clack-clack- Eh? What was that? Nina was just a little girl about 10 years old who would easily be scared but she was brave.
- Who's there? Can you hear me? He's not answering [whispered]... Could it be an animal? Maybe I just heard it wrong... Oh God of the River here is your servant please bless us with your kindness and let me drink from your water, well I already prayed so I came! And I'd better hurry.
-He- Help.
- Eh? Ehhh! I heard that! Hello? Please answer, are you all right? I think the voice came from over here... Mmm who could it be? Is he so hurt he can't answer me? Nina's mind was in chaos trying to figure out what was going on.
-Hellooo can you heard... -Ah, I found it! Among the branches and leaves near the river was a badly wounded young man almost at the point of losing consciousness, Nina rushed to help him, his appearance was like that of an ordinary human.
- Is he all right? Ahhh Nina what a silly question look like this... Can he talk? Ah water! The water will help him, he has blood... It must be his... I have nothing to cure him. What can I do...? I'll start with the water.
Nina was still small so with difficulty she raised his head and with a little effort she managed to
