Jinn – Their Reality

‘Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an.’  Quran [72:1]

Each nation and civilisation, both past and present has this notion of other beings that exist beyond the human realm.  This may be in myths or superstitions but every society have some form of recognition of these hidden, secretive but powerful beings that you cannot control.  This is something that is engrained in all humanity and this shows that there must be something about this that is real.

From the Muslim perspective, we look at all the societies around us and read about the occurrences and this fits in exactly with our world view.  This is a sign of the truth of Islam that it even explains the supernatural and paranormal world, with logic and rationality. 

What is a Jinn?

The word is derived from the Arabic root which means something that is hidden, and it applies to them because they are an entity that is completely hidden from the eyes of men, we cannot see them, even if they are around us.
