About this ebook
Master of the Jinn is a mystical adventure tale set on the Path of the Heart. When a Mossad agent on a mission in the Sahara unexpectedly finds a skeleton in a long hidden cave, what it holds in its bony hand causes a modern-day Sufi Master to send the Mossad Captain, a professor of archeology and his daughter, and three Sufi dervishes, on a quest for the greatest treasure of the ancient world - King Solomon's ring. It is the very same seal ring of a hundred legends, given to the King by God to command the Jinn, those terrifying demons of living fire.
By sea and across deserts, they are led by a strange faqir guide, a wandering Qalandar of many names. Through the mightiest of storms and into a lost city, the seven companions come at last to the gateway of the Subtle Realm, the land of the Jinn.
But the quest has a strange effect on everyone chosen to go. Visions enter their dreams, remembrances and tears fill their hearts, and mysteries abound; unearthly storms and unending night, the Gates of Heaven open at last, and invincible demons of smokeless fire in the unimaginable land of the Jinn.
There, surrounded by impassable mountains and a billion flaming souls, the imperious King of the Jinn reveal the Biblical beginning of their curse, and the future hope of both Jinn and humans.
It is a tale woven of ancient legends found in the Old Testament, the Talmud, and the Koran, and although it is set in the present, the search for the truth of the ring leads them into a circle of ageless destiny, wherein the companions discover not only the fate of the Jinn, but also the Path of Love and the infinite Mercy of God.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Spoiler Alert: Proselytizing does not make for good fiction. If you believe that love is as simple and salvific as a Hallmark card and have no trouble with characters who unquestioningly subsume their wills to a substitute father figure, then perhaps you might enjoy this book. The author most likely belongs to one of the larger Sufi sects in the world (Ni'matullahi) and has dedicated this book to his Sufi master (Dr. Javed Nurbakhsh). There are many references to Sufi sayings, philosophy and practice (this part takes on the emotional intensity of teenage girls at their favorite Boy Band concert). Surprisingly abundant in digs and slights towards Tuaregs. For a more complex view of jinn, I highly recommend the Bartimaeus series by Jonathan Stroud. He also has a prequel Solomon book, "The Ring of Solomon" which is hilarious.
