Perhaps the notions expressed in the following pages are not yet stylishly adaptable to secure them mainstream popularity; no matter how they are to be received, TRUTH is a bold tower which stands regardless of the patrons who may or may not support it. And it only serves in our state of becoming to direct our aim toward the North Star of veracity, whereby all who look upward can receive dependable guidance, and those not ready can in time be efficiently redirected toward the same universal purpose of objectivity. The light shines more paths than darkness.

As a long and regressive walk in the darkness is generally the means of questioning the location of the light (and as the light itself, being hidden from the view of the seekers, justifies questioning the actors that control it), it beckons all those who wish to align with obscured reality to inquire into the powers that be and the powers that suppress their view. It helps no one to remain blind on the never-ending quest for truth leading to nowhere.

In the following sheets, I have completely dispensed of all bias that may predictably divide ourselves further. Partisan pandering as well as subjective politics hold no part thereof. The established and the complacent need not the triumph of a MANIFESTO; and those whose sentiments are apathetic or disinterested will cease of themselves, unless pressure from the disparaged is placed upon their attention.

The cause of America remains in great measure the cause of all mankind. Since the American Revolution, freedom has made its name in the United States which was forged in fire and paid for by the blood of Patriots. In the nearly two-and-a-half centuries which have since ensued, it has become a beacon of hope as people from all around the world flooded in, expanding its purview and global influence. As a lasting bedrock for human might and potential, it has—guided by the protections of NATURAL RIGHTS enshrined in the CONSTITUTION—made the vision that anything is possible the American dream. It has fostered the creative energy of its free citizens to the solemn benefit of every nation on the Earth!

But from time to time, the Tree of Liberty inexorably withers from neglect of its suppositional tenets, and must be fortified with a renewed vigor and unified allegiance. Therefore the success of mankind in large part depends on the spirit of America to rise at the warning sirens of tyranny and reinstate its just cause. We are living in an age where that very precious Tree of Liberty is under siege by oligarchical forces—foreign and domestic—that wish to abolish it. It is therefore up to Americans of all stripes and colors, of all creeds and backgrounds, and of all occupations and religions to UNITE for the cause of liberty once again. Let this be the calling card to all minutemen—the warning sirens of tyranny have sounded, and liberty’s destiny awaits our timely rescue!

So may all patriotic Americans whom nature hath given the power of conscience and purpose now equip themselves with knowledge of truth for the LOVE OF FREEDOM! And let all in these resilient United States hang together for the cause of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, which can only be made possible through the active participation of a wise and ever vigilant populace.

P. S. As a Native of New York and lifelong American—both by heart and by legal citizenship—it is my sincere honor and patriotic duty to offer this timely declaration for COMMON SENSE REIGNITED.

In light of the tumultuous events which have occurred over the past twenty years (and most notably, several months leading to the date of this publication), I felt it was long past time we had an open discussion as to what it means to be an AMERICAN in the twenty-first century and beyond.

The insights expressed herein are therefore motivated to capture the United States of America in a state of EXISTENTIAL CRISIS, with resolve to reclaim its chief founding principles and to chart the path to a meritoriously prosperous future for all among us who still believe in LIBERTY—affirming that TRUTH, RESOLUTION, and UNIFIED ACTION are the means to achieving and preserving it.

Chapter I

Of the Growth of Government and Devolution of Powers to Unelected Entities, with Suggestions for the U.S. Constitution

Some writers have postulated the role of government in the affairs of society, so as to take for granted that government exists at all. Yet we have established that government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst, an intolerable one. All the good that humanity produces (and every satisfaction we can obtain from a job well done), is encouraged through the free market system of work efficiency and reward. In this largely self-regulating system, society is mobilized to reach for whatever heights are conceivable, and to use any means within its moral and physical power to materialize its vision in order to create a better world for everyone to live in.

We have witnessed the awe-inspiring effects of the free-market system unhindered following the founding of our prudently designed constitutional Republic. We need only to recall the First Industrial Revolution which saw the rise of the steam engine, locomotive, telegraph, typewriter, and the electric generator among many other beneficial advancements, all of which fashioned a reality previously unimaginable and propelled the human race into
