Prologue – Several months before...

D on't leave. Fin's voice echoed through his barely furnished flat in London. I spun around, my jeans not quite fastened and only wearing a black lacy bra, and threw one of his shoes at his head. He caught it easily and dropped it to the wooden floor. It hit with a clatter.

I grabbed my top, shoes and bag and walked over to the door. Before I managed to open it, he was there, right behind me. Please, Ellie. Don't go like this. It isn't what you're thinking.

Tears gathered in my eyes and I swiped at them, annoyed at myself for feeling so betrayed. He was almost a stranger after all, wasn't he?

You don't know what I'm thinking. I turned. He was completely naked and didn't care. I averted my eyes as much as I could but the man was a veritable god amongst men. Or, should I say, a half demon among men.

Yeah, I'd hit the jackpot when I'd run off to London for a holiday away from magic, my family, and my life. The paranormal is always close, as they say. I never thought I'd been sleeping with one for almost two weeks, though.
