About this ebook

Every human who has passed away seems to be most likely not really vanished which is the purpose of this book to demonstrate it. Life after death, human life meaning, does God exist, who God is, all are inferred subjects which are converging to human individualities probably recorded in a non-physical environment, corresponding to those humans who vanished and in gathering the facts from all sources it becomes increasingly apparent that they are somehow “still there”. The book reveals fact associations and arrangements giving in some way new insights of an uncommon topic yet so frequent in daily life and does offer organised, relevant and up to date information to people who have lost a loved one.

VANISHED BUT STILL THERE - Yves Tortora

    2-Personal experiences—

Being sure that many people have some experiences to share including myself, the author who can share briefly some of my personal experiences in regard to a non-physical environment possible existence.

Years ago I went to hospital for a surgical operation for which I was in a complete sleep for few hours from the time the anaesthetic was administered to the time I gradually woke up, all went very well, I had no dream as far as I remember during the induced sleep and I had no bad or good memories as I was lifeless awareness wise, no idea about anything, lost sense of time, was not in darkness, but just not aware of the surroundings and therefore giving no response at all by reason. The physical body was there, the brain was physically living, but what made the person was simply not there similar in somehow as if the person was intellectually absent.

I do not dream every night and my dreams reflect partly my activities, but they are incoherent, disordered, ranging from silly, sad to charmingly stupid or near reality but without any sense at all and I practically never have nightmare.

My imagination is active and fertile in some areas and I have to admit is little in some other areas mostly because from my upbringing and my limits.

I do not see magic things in a crystal ball and I have never seen any ghost neither heard any voices outside the human voices, and I have never experienced a situation of being there without the ability to normally communicate with the surroundings.

    3-People’s experiences—

It is not new that some people have experienced some sort of sensation as to be outside their body including sensations which seem to be outside the normal daily life of this physical environment.

Those experiences are probably true but great care has to be taken not to generalize those situations as supernatural and valid for all people everywhere at every time and get lost in philosophical reasoning.

Available public reports under the heading Near-Death Experience (NDE) of which some perhaps friends or family members may have experienced and whether more or less true stories, considerations are to be given to the circumstances in which those phenomena occurred.

According to the neuroscience a near-death experience or NDE is a subjective phenomenon which is the result of disturbed bodily senses occurring during lifethreatening circumstances.

Varying degrees of truth or not, it is outside the scope of this book to judge but as a matter of interest some experiences are recorded below and the testimonies of some people who have experienced those sensations are in any case certainly to be respected.

It depends upon what people perceive during the experience and therefore indeed subjective to each person experiencing NDE.

As much as possible for this book the NDE examples described below do not take into consideration any personal inclination, are definitively recognized NDE, unprecedented circumstances out of the control of the person and people are not intoxicated by any substance or medication, or having some mental disorder or prone to strong preferences in one way or the other.

The following examples are the summaries of four cases of NDE sensations people have experienced:

    Case 1

Home accident—Went to hospital in semi-conscious state—Surgical operation

On hospital bed—family around my unconscious body

I clearly left my body and existed outside it.

I could walk but not able to say anything.

I saw my family around my unconscious body.

    Undefined and unusual brightness around

    Undefined voice

    I felt calm and peaceful.

I felt like real experience, not a dream.

    Case 2

Traffic accident—Electrocution by a publicity panel

No breathing and no pulse—Clinically dead

I went flying backwards, travelling at high speed through a tunnel.

Spot light at end of tunnel to a large room with rays of bright light

I saw hundreds of people around me including my recently deceased mother.

From the room I went to an area outside in bright light.

Suddenly I fell rapidly through the dark.

    Separated from my body

    Pleasant

    I remember it very accurately.

    Case 3

After a surgery some bleeding occurred, got worse and loss of consciousness while in bed.

Then I was on top of my bed about at the back.

It was many people in the room, all appeared to do something on my body.

I felt peaceful and no pain.

Lot of noise in the room, and I could not make out what it was being said.

Then I woke up to see nurses and doctors who told me I had stopped breathing.

I clearly left my body and existed outside it.

    It was peaceful and calm.

    I remember accurately.

    Case 4

Plane accident when I was young, critically injured and clinical dead.

On impact, I lost the vision and heard screaming and glass shattered, voices, yelling, crying, shouting, I could not react or think, just listen.

No emotion or thought about what was happening

Then my vision was back in full colours I have never seen them before, completely out of this world.

The scene was like giant skies or atmospheres in full colours, huge as galaxies, I was alone, and I was not in the body, but was floating or suspended.

    I felt sharp in mind.

I have tried to draw this place on paper because I remember exactly what it looked like, even after many years after the accident.

I am aware chemicals in my head ending my life may have caused my experience but the colours and feelings were intense.

From those experiences there are some common traits which can be found in many other NDE experiences as follows:

An out-of-body experience and see people around the body

    Some awareness of being dead

A sense of detachment from the world

    Bright, unearthly powerful light around

A sense of peace and painlessness

Able to see other people around but not able to talk

A sense of moving whether through a tunnel or floating in skies

It is at the discretion of the reader to formulate an opinion.

    4-Non-physical environment scientific evidence—

Regarding the possibility of a non-physical environment existence which would be something similar in some respect to our physical world, having a sort of base on which beings are involved in activities, obviously completely outside the realm of our physical world is something unrealistic as it would not be perceived by any physical means.

It is always interesting to find out if any, solid, concrete and practical scientific evidence that would support the existence of a such non-physical environment but if that would be the case, then it would try to prove the existence of something non-physical by physical means and unfortunately this does not make sense since a non-physical environment cannot be perceived by any physical means, so how anything non-physical can be perceived or measured by physical means?

Today there is simply no way to scientifically, practically, directly perceive and measure anything non-physical, as something which would be outside the scope of our physical world is unthinkable and one would not even raise the question of the whereabouts of this type of environment, but there are some logical deductions derived from certain attributes of the human mind which would imply something non-physical exists and there are deductions based on real phenomena, therefore it might be logical to assume it may be something non-physical there.

Great care has to be given on this subject not to fall into fallacies and stories taken for real which would perhaps be charming to the mind or suited as it fits, to be kept separate from what we want as a genuine proof of a non-physical environment. It does not mean to do away with such stories but to avoid any confusion this book keep them separate from the main topic.

As a matter of examples the following can be generally classifieds as mental and non-physical acts being voluntary or not and which come out of the human mind and are briefly described, but can lead us into errors if we are not careful enough or could be interpreted as true and assuming certainties based on those mental experiences.

    Dream

Usually occurs during sleeping and relating somewhat to some previous real conscious activities, the subconscious recalls those activities or part of them in disorderly manners, totally uncontrolled, anything floats anywhere, anything goes, of unknown duration, range can vary from happiness to sadness and the memory can remember them for a while after wake up or for a long time and the dream
