About this ebook
It appears in your window every night, a mysterious configuration of lights that hovers for a moment, then is gone. You don't dare tell your Aunt Vivian or Cousin Pippa. Surely they'll laugh.
But Pippa pries the secret from you and doesn't laugh. Instead, she gets out her notebook and declares it the next mystery she wants to solve. It's your most difficult mystery yet, and your cousin needs your help to gather clues. You choose where to search and in what order to discover the clues.
See if you can crack the case before she does!

The UFO
Being in a new home, you don’t sleep very well at night. Aunt Vivian and Cousin Pippa gave you your own room, which is kind, but it’s also strange. You’ve never had a room to yourself before.
Now, even though you’ve been living with them for a couple of weeks, you still have a hard time falling asleep. You look at the clock on the nightstand and see that it is one in the morning.
The house is quiet, save for the soft creaks of settling that all houses make at night. Your pulse is racing, though.
One in the morning is when it happens, when they show up.
Although you don’t want to look, you can’t help it. There, in the window, come the lights. Two green lights and a flashing blue light. Whatever it is hovers in the sky for a few seconds and then disappears.
Your breathing is shallow and your heart pounds so hard that you’re sure the whole house can hear it.
You start to cry, quietly to yourself.
