Paul lives in South Wales in the UK with his wife and eight year old son, Matthew. Paul decided to write the 'Will and His Dog' stories during the COVID-19 lockdown for his son to read as part of his home schooling activities, Matthew enjoyed reading the stories (or at least he said that he did) and so Paul decided to share them online. The stories are free to download, read and share and are suitable for kids aged 8-11 years old. Some of the books contain mild threat, bullying, violence, scary scenes and reference to ghosts which may upset some readers. Please read the long description for each book before reading it. Pete the bee and the Summer Lightning

It was the middle of summer at the end of July,

and it seemed to the animals that fireworks lit up the sky.

For even though it was the middle of the night,

everything was flashing and shimmering with light.

It was balmy, close and uncomfortably warm,

yet the night rained and raged in a terrible storm.

The thunder clapped loudly and seemed very frightening,

as the sky lit up with bright summer lightning.
