About this ebook
This is an old town themed collections of rhymes verses which purely written on an interest basis. Inspirations were gained simply from quaint old facades, stark gables, narrow old streets, desolate lanes, quiet alleys and old quarter junctions as well. Ideas also a ranging from the old gateway of Porta de Santiago, up the hill, the ruined church of Our Lady and down the hill, the warmth and pleasant red Dutch Square. All of these made up a very humble coastal quaint old town which is known as Malacca. It is the place where the author was born and grew up which the author himself witnessed how much his hometown had changed through the years. As always used to be said that all the good old days must come to an end, yet and always, it never dies but will continue to live on the mind - the memories.
Sherman Loi Nai Ping
Sherman Loi Nai Ping. Born in Malacca, Malaysia in the year 1973.Hi, I'm into writing rhymed verses since from the early age of 20's. It has been my long time interest in quaint old surroundings as a result of having been born in a small old town, Malacca. And for having spent much of my life in this very hometown as well. As a result of that, I had came to a conclusion of marrying passion and interest in publications.I try to adhere to seven-syllable sentence rule together with the preference of perfect rhymes, when I write. This mean I keep my sentences short in each and every line of the verse. Hope you all like my works. Thank you.
