About this ebook
It's very easy to find a play that is appropriate for your students. And if you don't find one, the book also includes suggestions on how to adapt the plays.
All the sketches can be done in the classroom, with very simple scenery and props. Students can present them in front of the class, just reading their lines. You can also use these sketches as an extra-class activity and get students from different classes to put on a play and present it to the whole school.

LEVEL OF ENGLISH: Basic
RECOMMENDED AGE: Teenagers and adults
STRUCTURES:
Grammar: Simple present tense
Vocabulary: Homophones (Words that sound the same but are written differently)
NUMBER OF CHARACTERS: 2 – A clerk and a customer
COSTUMES: Ordinary Clothes
PLAYING TIME: Between 5 and 8 minutes
SOME SUGGESTIONS:
To set the scene for the bookstore, get a bookcase and fill it with books.
You can use a table for a counter. The clerk can stand behind the counter.
You also need a chair or an armchair, where the customer sits at the end.
Get an old telephone directory to be the dictionary. Make a cover for it with paper and write Oxfurd Dictionary of English.
Because it’s old, you can rip off some pages and it will be funny because it’s a very thick book.
