Argue.
Fight.
Angry sex.
It’s a never-ending cycle. We cut each other down. And then we have fierce, angry sex. I hate her. She hates me. That’s what I keep telling myself over and over. The more I say it, the bigger liar I become. The raven woman has become the biggest pain in my ass. And also... the only one who seems to get me. She understands what it feels like to love someone you can’t have. We’re toxic. She craves the fight. And me? I just crave the adrenaline rush. Argue. Fight. Fuck. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. I’ll keep going until one of us breaks. I have a bad feeling in my gut it’s gonna be me. She’s going to be my undoing. Break through my walls and bring me to my knees. And I’ll gladly let her without putting up a fight.

    Prologue

    Lance

I hate you, Lance Spelling. She hissed.

I gripped her wrists and pinned them above her head. Her breath hitched when I leaned down to whisper in her ear seductively. Baby, you really know how to turn me on. Shall we fuck first and fight later?

    Fuck you, Spelling. She whispered.

Yeah, I drawled out, I think we already played that.

Oh yeah, She smirked, How does it feel to be in love with a woman that will never be yours?

Low blow, Martinez. Low fucking blow.

I closed my eyes and blew out a harsh breath. Everything she said was true. I was in love with my brother's girl and I hated that. And most of all, I hated that Camila Martinez could see right through me. I also hated that I was starting to feel something for her.

    Chapter 1

    Camila

Lance Motherfucking Spelling. The only one that can get under my skin. A cocky little shit who thinks his shit doesn’t stink. I popped my gum as I thumbed through my magazine. My brother stood on the other side of the counter and placed a bottle of Jack Daniels on it. I closed the magazine and sighed. I scanned the bottle and said, $27.50.

He throws two twenty-dollar bills down and smirked, So, guess who I ran into?

    Not interested, I muttered.

    No? He grinned.

If the initials are L.S., then no.

I could care less about that dick.

So, you going out tonight or…

    Trevor coming over? I asked.

He nods and gestures to the bottle. I wouldn’t have bought this if he wasn’t.

I’ll probably just crash at Lila’s house tonight.

I tried to give the rest of his change, but he shook his head. Keep it.

I put the bottle in a paper sack and slid it across the counter.

    Catch ya later, Senorita.

I opened my magazine back up and continued to read. I heard the bell chime as the door opened and slammed shut again. I looked up from my magazine and rolled my eyes as Lance shot me a smirk. What do you want, Spelling?

Well, I thought I was going to get me some liquor.

    Fucking liar.

There was only one reason why he was here. To continue to torture me. Just like last week. He posted my number on all the walls of the men’s bathrooms. Every damn store in town. Gas stations. Bars. Even posted it on the billboard on the outskirts of town. I had to change my number. How he got my number, remains a mystery to me.

You’re right, I’m not here for the liquor. I’m here to see if you’ve received any strange calls.

This is fucking war. I hissed.

Bring it on, baby. I’ll be ready for anything you throw my way. Then after, I’ll pull your lacy panties to the side and fuck you into oblivion.

I wouldn’t fuck you if you were the last man on Earth.

No? I bet you would, Martinez. Why don’t we put a little wager on it?

    No.

I bet you fifty bucks by the end of the month, you can’t stay away from me.

And what do you get if you win?

Isn’t it obvious? I’ll take the pleasure of being the one who brought Camila Martinez to her knees.

    Who says you’ll win?

Lance licked his lips and cupped his balls. Damn, you got me all hard over here. Want to take care of my problem?

I’d rather gouge my eyes out. Keep dreaming.

What’s the matter? Is Martinez afraid she’ll lose?

    I wouldn’t lose.

Lance leaned on the counter and smirked, Then prove me wrong, Senorita.

Fine. Prepare to meet your maker, fuck boy.

You’re on, darling. Get ready to get on your knees and let me shove my dick down your throat.

    Just stop with the pranks.

    Not a chance, he promised.

Then prepare yourself for an all-out war, Spelling.

Yeah? Then consider this my only warning to you. Be ready for me to take you down. I don’t fight fair, baby.

    Good, neither do I.

I hate you, Lance Goddamn Spelling.

Good to know. I’ll remember that when I fuck you again. Just like old times, eh?

Lance turned to leave, but I wasn’t done with him yet. Not by a long shot.

Make sure you tell Aubree hi when your brother is balls deep in her pussy.

Lance froze and slowly turned around, his eyes narrowed.

Yeah, I’ll do that… right after I tell your brother hi when he’s fucking Trevor.

Fuck you, Lance. You don’t know shit.

But he did. And I hated that the most.

No? I know you’re in love with a man that isn’t even attracted to a pussy. How does it feel to love someone you can’t have and never will?

About as good as it feels to know Aubree is in love with your brother.

Touché, Martinez. Make sure to watch your back. You’ll never see me coming.

Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

Lance turned back around and held one arm up over his head, flipping the bird.

Fuck you too, asshole, I muttered under my breath.

I bit my lip and shook my head as Lance jumped on his bike, peeling out in the process.

    Dick.

    A goddamn miserable prick.

I glanced at the clock and sighed when I noticed it was only 7 p.m. Only another couple of hours until closing time. The door opened again and I smiled at Murdoch. He nodded and grabbed a bottle of rum off the shelf. He set it on the counter and grinned.

    Camila.

Can you do me a favor and tell your brother to stay away from me?

I scanned the bottle and rang it up. Your total is…

I don’t care about the total, he says, pulling out his card.

He swiped his card and I printed out his receipt, handing it over.

I’ll let him know for you. What exactly is the deal with you and him?

There is no deal. He’s a dick. Plain and simple.

After a few hours, I pulled the till and placed the money in my purse. Not bad for a day in Sage, Oklahoma. I turned off the lights and locked the door from the outside. When I turned around, I clenched my teeth when I saw Lance leaning on my car.

Get the fuck off my car.

    Make me.

I’m about two seconds away from ripping your head off.

    Yeah? Sounds like a date.

Just go away. It’s been a long day and I’m not in the mood for your shit.

I opened my door and tossed my purse in my car and turned to face him. I glared, my fists clenching. Lance leaned in and held me by the hips. I shoved him back, causing him to lose his footing. He widened his eyes and fell back, taking me down with him. My breath hitched when our faces were about an inch apart.

    Let me go, I whispered.

Told you, Martinez. I don’t fight fair.

    Chapter 2

    Lance

My lips are just an inch from hers as I whisper the words.

Told you, Martinez. I don’t fight fair.

It wasn’t my intention to get this close to her. I hate her, right? Camila’s hair tickled my cheek
