He was the last person on earth I thought I would ever be with. My biggest downfall when it came to choosing guys was that I always ignored the obvious signs and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Even when red flags are slapping me across the face, I still hang on to their words, I love you. with high hopes that things would get better.

I always thought that maybe I could sway him into being the man that I want him to be. Hell! I am no expert. I've only been with one guy. My so-called love life with him has been a crazy experience. Maybe this time around it will be different. The words I told myself.

Here I am, recently turned 18. After a rocky senior year filled with drama, I had no control over my life. A train wreck would be an understatement. Unlike every other high school graduate who was free to live their lives and do stuff that young adults do, I couldn't. My parents were stricter than a judge. After a horrible experience with my adopted older sister, the noose was thrown around my neck and as I got older it got tighter. I was viewed in her light even when I was innocent. It was hell. I couldn't do anything right in spite of living to please them and trying not to disappoint them. It didn't get any better when they caught word of my secret boyfriend.

I felt relieved whenever I was around him, even though I only saw him during school hours. We were in love. Or so I thought. Things began to change after Tyler took my virginity. We sneaked away together after school one day before the summer break. After that, he became an asshole. No matter how I tried, our relationship couldn't get back to that happy place.
