Blake watched Leah from across the table. She exuded pure confidence, but he knew it was a lie. She had a tell, whenever she had a bad hand she would lay her head on the table. She had asked for three cards, there was no way she was holding anything. She was bluffing.

Okay, I see your shoes and I raise you a shirt.

The corner of her mouth lifted in a cheeky grin and Blake started to have doubts. Call, she said, show me what you got.

Blake laid down his cards. Pair of jacks over sixes. You?

Leah frowned, I only have a pair of eights. Then she added, Oh, and these three queens. Full house. She stretched her arms across the table chanting, Gimme, gimme, gimme.

Blake pulled off his shirt exposing his toned abs and bronze skin, passing it and his shoes over to her.

Leah made a big show of hugging his lost clothes to her chest.

    Blake, Jack of Hearts

I was sitting on my bed in my dorm room sketching when Leah walked in without knocking and proclaimed, Men suck! I was barely able to toss my sketch book aside before her head landed in my lap, her auburn hair covering my thigh. She looked at me with an exaggerated pout and asked, Blake, why do men suck so much?

Your date went that bad, huh? I stroked her hair knowing she just needed to vent for a bit, with Leah it was best to just let her get out her frustration and move on. She’d be on to the next disaster momentarily.

    He made me pay!

I laughed. I couldn’t help myself. She slapped my chest. It’s not funny.

I wiped tears from my eyes. So where did you find this modern gentleman?

She turned on her side, facing away from me. My Women’s Studies class.

    I laughed harder.

Then she laughed too, it was all she could do. I also had to cover the cab back to campus.

At this point we were both choking with laughter. Once she caught her breath she patted my thigh. If only you weren’t gay, I’d date you and be done with this finding the right guy nonsense.

For the billionth time, I corrected her. I’m not gay. I’m bi.

Sure, my BFF, majoring in fashion design and sucking six dicks a week isn’t gay, and since we are living in bizarro land, I’m really a nice person under this facade.

    I sleep with girls too.

Yeah, but you’ve never had a girlfriend for more than a month. Because deep down you know you’re gay.

Then how do you explain why I never had a boyfriend for longer than a month either.

Because you can’t deal with being gay, so you push them away.

"Thank you for your insight Dr. Leah. You would after
