Women of Substance is a compilation of stories of different women from various genres of society who have overcome difficulties and challenges and seta vision for other women to follow. These women are contributing effortlessly in day to day mundane activities to empowerthe society as a whole. Some work tirelessly and relentlessly to make sure that the community grows and they are able to mentor others overcome similar adversities. This book is nothing short of Success Stories but a mini version to celebrate these lovely women on a broader platform. It helps us determine that nothing can stop a woman who decides to change her life; when she does and what doesn't break her only makes her stronger and wiser. Here's to each and every Woman of Substance.
Rabia Imtiaz Patel
Rabia Patel is working as a Development Officer for LIC India. She recruits LIC agents who not only get an opportunity to learn and make money but also contribute to the society by guiding people in taking the right policies for their family. She feels blessed to be able to contribute to the nation through her work. Working since the last three decades has given her much more exposure and opportunities to try her hands at several activities. During the course of time, she joined an NGO called Giants International which provides an ideology base and platform to the citizens to play their role in the community welfare.She is glad to have been associated with them for years now and own an NGO under them by the name Giants Group of Mumbai ONE. In the acronym ONE, the O stands for Oneness and Opportunity, N stands for Networking and E stands for Empowerment. To have more people join in, she started an initiative called “Walk For A Cause OnStage” to let them collaborate and express about things they want to do for themselves as well as for the society. This is her brainchild to raise awareness about various subjects like dealing with cancer diagnosis, importance of girl child education, benefits of skill development, etc. Her NGO has many opportunities planned for the women who would like to learn and want to do something in life. She encourages women to network with like-minded people to upgrade themselves and take charge of their own life through her various prospects which allow them to grow systematically. She has been applauded for her social work and making a difference in the society by Times of India and Bombay Times on several occasions.She is happy to launch the first edition of this book “Women of Substance” which educates readers about seven inspiring women achievers. This is her way of gratitude to celebrate their success and encourage other women to learn from their life stories. Each woman represents each colour of the Rainbow expressing how their story reflects the colour they have chosen.

Rabia Patel is working as a Development Officer for LIC India. She recruits LIC agents who not only get an opportunity to learn and make money but also contribute to the society by guiding people in taking the right policies for their family. She feels blessed to be able to contribute to the nation through her work. Working since the last three decades has given her much more exposure and opportunities to try her hands at several activities. During the course of time, she joined an NGO called Giants International which provides an ideology base and platform to the citizens to play their role in the community welfare.
She is glad to have been associated with them for years now and own an NGO under them by the name Giants Group of Mumbai ONE. In the acronym ONE, the O stands for Oneness and Opportunity, N stands for Networking and E stands for Empowerment.
