    Introduction

    GCSE Mathematics Numerical Crosswords bring fun into learning and revising Mathematics in a focused, enjoyable and succinct format. The content of this book is based on the GCSE Mathematics grade 9-1 foundation tier course with fully worked examination standard examples and complete explanations for all questions. The structure of the book means that readers will cover each of the five key GCSE Mathematics areas quickly, with chapters on:

    3. Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change

    4. Geometry and Measures

    5. Probability and Statistics

    At the end of each chapter is a consolidation crossword which revisits the key themes of the section.

    Guidance on how to use this book

    Read each crossword clue carefully and have a pen, paper and calculator ready to work through each problem. Once you have the answer to the clue write it in the crossword grid. Do not include any units (e.g. centimetres, kilograms, degrees etc.) when writing answers in the crossword grid, just write in the numerical solution. Unless stated, always write the answer to the last calculation for each clue in the grid. If you are unsure on how to answer a question use the examples on the right page of each crossword to help you. In the back of the book are full solutions, including explanations to every clue.
